I have 3.0 Final and 3.9 Alpha 20.

One, where does it say "Ignore Joy Axes" in 3.9 Alpha 20? My pad works but not regestering the moves. In 3.0 Fianl "Ignore Joy Axes" seem to do the trick. 3.9 Alpha 20 has to be similar.

And

Two, in either where do I make it so it doesn't say "Failed" like after only 3 seconds? Sometimes it says failed and sometimes it doesn't even with all ZEROs.

Thanks.

One:

any version of stepmania 3.9 after alpha 4 automatically ignores joy axis. it should work right away without having to change any setting other than your Joy mapping. also, in reply to your previous issue about not being able to map s/w and s/e, there is no version of ddr that I know of that even uses those arrows, so no worries about that...unless you are playing pump it up, which is a different issue for a different forum.

Two:

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking here. Fail end of song will cause it to fail after the end of the song. set it to that if you wish. you could set the difficulty levels different as well to give you more leeway with how many steps you can miss before it fails you.

I kinda figured it out. See I noticed it after closing everything and rebooting the computer. I went into Stepmania 3.9 Alpha 20 And wnent into "Options" and "Config Key/Joy Mappings". Half of the entries were missing and I had to remap them. Not sure why I needed to remap cuz it says press ESC and there is no save button. Perhaps that's why its alpha.

Anyway as for the other issue. I use 3.0 Final and it says fail after 3 seconds even if the score keeps comming. Making it impossible to finish a song. I just tried 3.9 Alpha 20 and it let me finish the song before it said fail. I'm no expert so failing me after 3 seconds is no fun. how can I just exclude the fail. Or make it wait till the end of the song. I said beginner everything and 3.0 still failed way to fast.

Not sure about 3.9 but 3.0 picks up a little better so if 3.0 can wait till the end of a song that would be great.

hold down the start button (enter or whatever part of the pad you have it mapped to) after you select the song. see if it is on the second page of options. there should be a "fail end of song" and a "fail off" setting.

I see great, thanks.

As for the mapping isse I figured it out. It says UP, Down, Left, and Right.

It says it twice. But what I didn't realize was that one says Dedicated and one doesn't. And ony one at a time can be used. Tha'ts why they were missing and not working. Cuz I mapped Dedicated and didn't set the option to Use Dedicated and visa versa.

So now everything works. Thanks for all your help. I think I'm set for a while now.
