Funky little wire....

I just got some Ignitions from EBGames since I'm too poor to afford Metal Pads. THey're the dual platform edition? And There is this one wire in it....and I have no clue what it does. It plugs into itself...but thats useless....

is it a universal pad that can be for the xbox? if so its and extension cord for headphones for xbox live.

(edit: nvm dual platform means ps2 and xbox) so thats the beat pad pro right?
