I did some research and found that myocardial hypertrophy is associated with obesity... and even though the article said that is is genetic, it's not necessarily genetic. The area's around her heart and her arteries were probably so clogged up that her heart couldn't keep up with the activity she was doing.
Dur. |
Obviously, you didnt do enough research. Heck, if you even read the artical closely, she didnt actually have a heart attack, she had heart failure. Her heart stopped receiving the signal from her brain that told it to beat. For all we know, her arteries could be clean as a whistle. Just because she looks overweight doesnt mean she's unhealthy. And honestly, you shouldnt say stuff on this message board that you wouldnt say to her face. Your rude comments are not only insulting to her, but to many of the readers of the DDRFreak messageboards. So next time you do "research", you shouldn't put in speculations (indicated by the use of words like "probably"). Instead, do a thourough job researching, and report the facts.
And by the way, is "DUR" supposed to be making fun of retarded people? Cause that's just totally cool. Seriously. |
I bet this guy is fat. |

I'm confident she has heard of IIDX, considering that FFC has a IIDX machine. |

This scares me a lot cause I have a heart problem (but it's no where near as serious as hers seems to be) I couldn't actually die from mine ( atleast I don't think I can) but it is really painful... I haven't had it happen while playing DDR but I've had it from tumbling class (which wasn't very hard) .... this story makes me want to be a lot more careful cause going to the emergency room isn't fun |

From what the condition was, I do believe the father said what happened to her could have happened to her at any time.
Also, she doesn't look terribly fat, on a slightly unrelated note. Not quite skinny, but not obese. Her parents are, but not her.
The thing is, as I saw it, was the media put the focus on DDR. Hell, even that Kimber chick seemed to put it on DDR. God help us if those mothers against video games groups decide to go against DDR. Even though her accident was bound to happen sooner or later anyway and may not even have been related to DDR. _________________

Look man, this guy was warned already YESTERDAY. Don't go around assuming nobody has been warned just because you don't see it. Click on his profile and find out how many warning points he has. Geez. _________________

Wow, that's mean. If the same thing happened to you, would you want people to wish that you died? Would you want to live or die? |

Didn't the article say that she had genetic heart problems? I personally think that she should of took precautions and steered away from playing DDR because it's known that in her family, they have heart problems.
Therefore, not to sound mean or anything but she should be smarter in the future and steer away from that. Obviously now she knows because she has a pacemaker and everything, but you've certainly got to be careful. Especially when it's something important as your health, your well being, and your own body. _________________

Of course, if she had died, it would be a completely insensitive thing to say. Fortunately, she lives, and the situation is different. P-chan has a heart condition too, and I don't see him taking it so personally, either.
I'm sorry for your losses. However, don't you think it would be nice if they lived? If your dad survived and was alive and well, and I said "too bad your father didn't die. man that sucks. i wish he died", you would have appreciated that? I seriously doubt it. |
Because being strapped to a machine and in a robotic seat unable to move until you do die is any better. jerk. _________________

I hope this doesn't turn her off from DDR, but she needs to be careful in the future if she plays... poor girl |

Ugh, Why on every message board must I come across some idioticly over-sensitve jerks that totally drain the fun out of everything. Tch, you complain about insensitivity towards the girl, but you show none to the joke trying to lighten up the board. The same damn personallity everywhere and it's twice as annoying as any joke. _________________

P-chan isn't strapped to a machine and in a robotic seat unable to move. Neither is this girl. I stand by my opinion that wishing death upon that girl is far worse than making a joke about a DDR song. You need to realize this in the context of this girl, not your family. These comments aren't about you; they're about her. _________________

FAR worse. Who would want to die at 15? Sure you might be slightly disabled, but as long as you can get along in life its fine. So you wouldnt be able to play DDR, who cares? You could play some other game, or no game at all!
And yes, being strapped to a machine would be better then death, caus then people that care about that person would be able to enjoy her, and vice versa! _________________

Im sorry, but do you lack Common sence? She fell off while playing because her heart stopped, who would keep playing when somone is passed out less then 1 inch from you?
EDIT: Or who would go and continue playing the same game that the passed out person was on? Who would be that heartless? _________________

All I know is that if I had a heart attack I wouldn't want my money that i spent wasted and would hope someone jumped on to finish my songs. A last omage, if you will. |
