But i'm not getting bored of ddr, some people still have interest in it. And I wouldn't be suprised if another mix just happens to come out within the next few years.. hopefully? E13.gif

I heard Konami shutdown all mixes now they are threw with DDR. Extreme is the last thing of Konami DDR

Well, there will probaly be another DDR Mix because DDR is making Konami Money. How lond do a game series last is depends on how much money dose it makes for the company.

I haven't played DDR for 6 months.
Im tired of my freinds calling me gay for playing DDR, And my girlfreinds dumping because I play DDR(Im not kidding). So I really can't help you.
You can get a network adapter and wait for extreme so you can play with other people, Thats what im gonna do.

Dabomb...

Those girls aren't worth your time if they will judge you by "what you do" over "who you are". It's even worse if your friends can't even show respect to your individuality. If you're quitting DDR because society doesn't like what you personally enjoy, you've probably lost more than gained.

aww. wasn't that touching. I remember a while ago my whole entourage and I were constantly at the arcade playing ddr. Then somewhere between meeting a bunch of sleazy girls (who we met through ddr) getting our hearts pretty much ripped out, and having the arcade ramp the price up from $1 to $1.50, most of my friends lost interest and stopped playing. I stopped for about a year before I got back on the machine and stompped some arrows again. And only recently, another one of my friends got back into the game. So out of 7 guys, only me and 1 other friend have stayed true to the game.

i still have so many mixes to explore. i have taken the life out of EXTREME and Ultramix and i'm currently working on 7th mix at the arcades.

if everything fails i'll just get the PS2 versions but by then Ultramix 2 would be out. So for me it's all good.

i am bored of Extreme though...

Bored of Extreme? Eh, try having to put up with Euromix 2 for a year biggrin.gif

If you like dance games I suggest you look at Pump It Up. It's still in active development (the latest mix, Pump Exceed, is currently being location tested ... in London of all places). Pump doesn't focus so much on PA (the windows are very wide) as on either freestyling or ridiculously hard songs. By ridiculously hard I mean "three-panel jumps and freeze arrows and huge storms of 1/16ths with continuous crossovers at 240BPM" hard: that's a fairly succinct description of Dignity, Pump Exceed's hardest song. Or SLAM, which is like a more mellow version of Dignity minus the triple freeze arrows, but it's still considerably harder than even PSMO.

That's on Crazy mode; the hardest single-pad mode: everything on there is the equivalent of 9-12 feet in DDR terms. Don't even get me started on Nightmare (Crazy step charts splattered across both pads and usually made even harder).

And of course if you want button games there's IIDX. Bit rare in arcades (I think all of Europe has about two, both in Italy) but it's good fun and very challenging. The biggest problem is that the learning curve is very harsh; I recommend getting a home version to practice on until you're really comfortable with it. The hardest song on doubles play remains unpassed by even the most advanced players in the whole world.

how can you be bored of ddr

How bout... Playing DDR for 3 years =D

The only reason why I personally think I've lasted that long was because I started on a 1.5 machine. A few months later I went on to a different arcade and discovered 3rd mix. About 2 months later I went on to discover yet another arcade, they have 3rd mix but were upgrading it to 3rd plus! About 2 months later they upgraded that to a 4th mix and a few months later upgraded it more to a 4th plus

A few months after that I heard of an arcade around the city area that had a 5th mix and I started to go there on weekends. Later on I found out that FYE had bought a 5th too and still had the 4th plus so no point going into the city. A few months after that they upgraded the 4th to a 6th. The 6th was gone in like I sware a matter of weeks laugh.gif and that went to a 7th.

I went back to the arcade where I first found the 3rd and found out that they still had a 6th, so I started playing there. Then Extreme came out and I went back to FYE.

Then to discovery my brother while we were buying Yu-Gi-Oh cards about a year to date found a little arcade in a basement, I annouced it here, Big hit, the arcade moved to bigger location recently. They origionally only had an Extreme but later he bought a 2nd which was upgraded to an Extreme and then later sold, another machine that was downgraded to a 4th Plus for some old school action thumb.gif, which was then later upgraded to a 7th, which is now an Extreme.

So you can see... 3 years of DDR ends somewhere when no new mixes came out. That's the reason why I think I was playing for so long... When I was getting bored of it a new mix came out and it got me back in it.

I to am getting bored of it but I've started to play Pump which is much more challangeing then DDR (If you thought Max 300 was hard... laugh.gif)

IIDX is a good choice too. Stuff is Godly I tell you!! GODLY!!

I'm bored with DDR also.

I've been bored with it for about a year now and I've been playing for 3 years (since July 2001). Anyway, what I do to keep my DDR spirit alive is go to the arcade in longer spaced out periods like once every two weeks or such, or I get my friends into DDR, which I've gotten a lot into it.

It's really cool showing them how to play and such, and 3 of my friends out of the like 15 I've taught to play, can do Heavy now, and 1 of em can do catas and the MAXXs and such so he's always fun to play DDR with.

Try playing your favorite songs more often. And on EXTREME try Oni and Nonstop Mode, espicially RANDOM ALL/BEMANI/DANCEMANIA on Nonstop Mode, that's always really fun.

There are very few games that I will never get sick of, and this is one of them. This is the only game I can play 1 player on and never get bored.
