I can't believe I was taken seriously about the special audio.
Anyway I guess a DDR reference is nice in a new music game, but Ive found for the most part the music in the other games is better than DDR. I started on IIDX with the DDR references, but found the other music to be alot better. When I bought Pop'n I didn't bother looking and I play the nonDDR songs the most in Pop'n too.h _________________

Well, I happen to like most of Naoki's stuff, so that puts me at a DDR acceptance rate of about 80%. Except Brilliant2U. I hate Brilliant2U. Hell, I was so sure that Dynamite Rave was DDR's flagship song that I was rather surprised to find out that there were two whole mixes before it even debuted. ; And then there's the whole Candy incident. After all, everybody loves Candy!
I've noted that Pop'n has like zero Naoki... the closest I've found is Candy (heart). Although I stand by something I said earlier, in that MaxX Unlimited should be included. I'm not too worried, though; I've found plenty of songs in IIDX that I want to go to DDR (but probably won't as most of them are Avex licences ; ). 7th Style has so many songs that were in DDR one way or the other (incl. lots of Naoki!) but there are piles of excellent 'new' songs too. Any of you IIDX players who shied away from the price tag are missing out; the game is worth every penny and you should buy it now. The more support this game gets, the more likely it is that I'll one day be able to play Love Love Shine. Mr. T is apparently his own entity, according to a help wanted thread I posted, and like his chains-wearing American counterpart he is amazing. Ride On The Light gets stuck in my head at the weirdest times and I only mind because it's usually during times when I can't go play it. ; I love most of the Avex licences too. I play Yesterday and Burning Up For You nonstop (the latter is my first AAA!) and each is my favorite song of the mix.
So, in conclusion, I definitely can't wait to take a crack at Pop'n's mostly new soundtrack. I have, after a few weeks, managed to balance DDR and IIDX time (I'm getting better at IIDX all the time, but I still managed to score 6 Greats on Love Love Sugar at the arcade tonight!) and once I get the money, it'll be Pop'n time.

Just because it doesn't say Naoki doesn't mean hes not in the game. I don't think theres any recent Bemani he's not in. There two Terra songs in Popn 9 and some BeForU. _________________

You answer a bunch of questions and it picks songs that fit your answers. Completely pointless unless you can read it. You dont need to play it to get anything. _________________

While we're on the subject of getting stuff, how do you get the last two Omake pictures? They're all I have left to unlock, but no matter what I do I can't unlock them. |

I've hit a roadblock in my progression of difficulty on Pop'N. Im having trouble with big bunches of pop-kuns in which you have to pop three pop-kuns consecutively in a stream... i know im decribing it poorly. I mean, When there is say, a stream of... (blue, red yellow) then (red, yellow, green) and so on in a row. Im having trouble hitting them. Can someone give me some tips? I'd like to start playing some harder level 25,26s, and 27s soon |

What song is it that you are mainly having trouble with? It would be much easier for us to help you out if we knew the song so we can see for ourselves what you are talking about. |

There's Step'n Music, from the developers of Stepmania, and Feeling Pomu, a technically better but fully japanese simulator. I use S'nM _________________

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

Well, there are a few of what im talking about in 100 sec Kitchen Battle Normal near the middle at the part that kind of sounds like something from Austin Powers, and I also remember some in OBAQ Hyper.
I am getting a little bit better at them though... good enough to bullshit through them in some songs and pass
Edit: There are also some in Loveholic Hyper |

Im pretty much stuck on 32-35 stuff at the moment. As for specific songs...The end of Girls Rock Hyper and Hi-Punk Hyper are two prime examples.
In other news, I FINALLY beat Girls Band 2 Hyper with a one bloody bar...and a score of a little over 89000. |
I passed Hi Punk Hyper 2 days ago (and EX today)...passed Girls Rock Hyper today. The only advice I can give you is to try a wide variety of songs. The difficulty jumps around a lot...I can pass Cyber Rockabilly EX half the time and yet there are 34s I fail. Also, speed mods....I use Hi Speed 6 for 100-155 BPM and Hi Speed 4 for 156-210 or so. |
