Says who? Ever seen a Naki soft taco pad? The arrows are opposite of the arcade which is why mine are like that. Someone better tell RedOctane their colors are wrong too. If you are talking about red instead of pink, I don't want pink arrows.
Maybe I should have used green and yellow arrows. Actually I'm thinking about enlarging photos of cockroaches for my arrow panels.
Just to be safe I better take a pic with the arrows in the arcade order. _________________

i dunno... squashing cockroaches while hitting the arrows would be funny... possibly use 3 not squashed one, then pick a direction, and have that one an enlarged image of a stepped on one... *giggle*
now my pad... it has the colors all wrong... because i ran out of ink in my printer (its a wide paper one, can print the large sheets... up to 13 inches, but dead cartriges) _________________

I feel so pleased to announce i'm partially an idiot!!!
When I made my dancepad*formerly known as craptastic* I made it using Tri,Squ,Circ,X. so i could use it on an adapter that used axes. The radio shack one, upon playing it, i thought it sucked and got frustrated and gave up on my pad because it just WOULDN'T work. Well boys and girls. Did you know the Radio Shack adapter lags quite a bit? and that using this "craptastic" pad I AA'd Remember you heavy, a song I previously found too slow to AA. I'm a happy panda now!!
EDIT: ahh... after testing it out for a awhile, i can proudly say i've already added new AA's to the list.

Look to the Sky
All new for me, and I blame my homebuilt pad, it actually seems to be running near perfect, the aluminum is still wanting to come up over the non-arrow panels and tear, but that shouldn't be too hard to fix...*Duct tape* _________________

Hey folks, a quick question. Right now I'm trying to construct a Riptide v.2.0 style pad (the 'new' one on his site with a plywood base and cut corners on plexiglass) and I've come up with a problem. I can't seem to align the corners correctly under the corner brackets. If I cut wood so that it fits the plexiglass, there's not enough wood under the screw holes in the corner brackets to screw into - but if I cut wood so that it fits under the screwholes, the plexiglass gets shoved too far out of the way, leaving gaps in the pad.
Is there a way to trim off a very small chunk of plexiglass from each corner? (Say about a 1/4 inch or so.) I think what happened was that I was too conservative when I cut the plexiglass, thus the corner pieces are still too small. However, I am very much not enthused about giving myself carpral tunnel by cutting all 32 corners again with a metal cut blade. I've heard of plexiglass cutters - what are they, and can I get one for fairly cheap?
Can anyone help out? It's kinda frustrating to have come so far with my platform and have something so mundane as corner brackets completely throw me.
Thanks,

the sensors are low quality and fail after a short time. the whole point of a hard pad is that it will last a lot longer. |

probably can be done... but its probably easier to start from scratch coz there isnt much inside those soft pads that can really be used for the hard ones... except for the circuit board... definately save that ^^
quite a few people have just nailed/secured their soft pads to wooden boards... not quite a hard pad... but a lot better than a regular soft pad ... _________________

Here's another thought... I have a USB controller i'm considering using for a new circuit board in my Dance pad. I wonder. Can someone show me how to wire my arrows to a female telephone jack, so i can use a telephone cable to disconnect my ps2 circuit board from the pad...
I.E.
Current setup.
Pad--Circuitboard---------ps2
I want.
O-circuitboard-------ps2

O-circuitboard-------PC
So i have two detachable controllers to play both Stepmania and PS2 without an adapter... help me if can please??? _________________
