okay, i finally got it.

this site is open to all people and post as long as ADMIN AND MODERATORS THINK YOUR POSTS ARE COOL.

now, i'm not sure if these people are over the age of 18, but it would seem as though they are not. i would think that adults would have a bit more common sense towards running a public forum.

"you are wasting bandwidth unless we think what you have to say is good enough" seems to be the message i keep getting. this is the worse site i've ever been on. only this site and one other have i seen treat people in such a way that "if we don't agree with what you say then you are WRONG. all threads will be locked and you will be banned"

you can NOT run a public forum and not expect people to have different opinions and to have conversations that you think are "useless" or "dumb".

i seriously have to bite my tongue to say what i really think of this site. it does no good to express myself in that way.

i see you have many MANY members. i'm curious to see how many actually POST on a regular basis. i'm guessing if they aren't in the "in" crowd, then they rarely do.

too bad this site is a business and not a public forum. stupid us for thinking it was for everbody.

my lord. this site sucks. feel free to ban me if it makes you feel better. what ever makes you feel more manly. too bad it will be too late. i will never return to this place again.

hey, have fun sweating on your lil' video game there, kids.

p.s. if you ever want to learn how to truly run a business, help me out. i'm sure i can help.

Let's examine your complaints...

Your first post: http://www.ddrfreak.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=7638178&highlight=#7638178

You A> don't post in the regional forum designed for your area and B> post something that really says nothing other than 'Hi, I'm new here.' when we have a perfectly good introduction thread at the top of the forum.

Your second post, after your first thread is locked for the above reasons: http://www.ddrfreak.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=7643980&highlight=#7643980

You continue to post in the incorrect forum. Instead of consulting the moderator who locked your thread for further explanation, you decide to post a thread to complain about the 'natzi' administrators. (The term is nazi, by the way.)

I'm sure you still haven't read the FAQ yet at this point.

Your third post, after your second thread was locked for the above reasons and after you were specifically directed to post in Site Feedback by an administrator: http://www.ddrfreak.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=7649224&highlight=#7649224

He TOLD you to post in Site Feedback and yet you continued to post in Chit-Chat. You STILL could have taken up your issues with him directly through PM instead of cluttering the board with yet another thread mis-posted.

Your fourth post was continuing in the same vein, where both VxJasonxV and Spike informed you as to the error of your ways.

Yet here you are, posting a complaint in Site Feedback because you can't understand what we've been telling you over and over, moderators and users alike.

Read the FAQ. If you have questions about the FAQ, ask a moderator.

It's not that we don't think your posts aren't cool, it's that you obviously take no time to learn how things work around here. I mean actually work, instead of what you think. If you read the FAQ, posted in the right places, we wouldn't have a problem with your threads, and so we wouldn't lock them. But you don't follow the rules and so we lock your thread, and then you think we're doing it because you aren't being "cool."

Although it DOES give me an idea for a funny banner ("read the FAQ: all the cool kids are doing it") you're points are generally incorrect.

But just to add a couple more things:

"you are wasting bandwidth unless we think what you have to say is good enough" seems to be the message i keep getting. this is the worse site i've ever been on.

Yup, that's basically how it works. But you imply that we lock threads that have opinions we don't agree with (you tell us to ban you simply because you disagree with us...something we've never done by the way -- but I'm glad you took the time to learn how this site works so you'd know that...OH WAIT). This simply is not true. We lock threads that are a waste. Do we get to decide what is wasteful? Yes. But we're also the ones that are working, and JDogg is the one that's paying for it. He is paying for it. Not you. This is not a "public" forum. It's a private forum open to the public. One person fronts the bill, so that one person gets to decide who gets to choose what is a waste and what is not. If every single person contributed money to this site, then it would be completely "public" and you would get to have some say. You know, like a democracy. But this isn't a democracy. If you don't like the way it's run, then don't come here (although I guess you won't be anymore anyways). But the internet is not a 100% free and open place (I'd have a lot more porn if it was, har har). So don't always be in a state of shock and awe when you don't get your way.

Although I'll point out that if we're really that bad at running a site, why are we one of the (if not the) biggest site(s) out there? We've been around for quite a long time (I've been here for 3+ years and it was running long before I was here). So if we're so bad...why are we still around?

That doesn't make sense. At all. But JDogg does a great job at "truly" running a business, because we've gotten to do all sorts of great stuff that he's taken care of (like a trip to Vegas). Money is made off of this site, so I'd say we do a good job running this as a business. Oh, and I made the point of this site being a business earlier because you said that bandwidth doesn't matter. I think in general your point is more "I want to do what I want" and our point is "No." But again, you don't pay the bill.

I'm getting to the point of just plain rambling, and I'm tired. And you won't really be back to read this, so I guess it doesn't matter. But if you DO come back and read this, and you have something to say, PM me. Don't make another thread about it. I unfortunately think that this warning will fall on deaf ears because it has before (this thread is evidence of that).
