The only readon why I play is because it's fun! I don't care if everyone around me kicks my buttocks horribly at a song just as long as I have fun with it E1.gif . It's cool and all to know you're better than people at something, but trying to be the best isn't exactly something I'm going to bother with. E15.gif

I play because it's cool, fun, and I am not sitting at home all day.

I hate DDR Extreme >_<.

All I see on DDR internet boards is scores/grade/performance comparison. All about competition. All about who's the best. Whatever happenned to cooperation? And by that, I don't mean the usual advice you can get on the forums about "haow i ken pass max300". No, I mean like taking a lower-level player under your wing, and basically training him. Acting as a mentor. I didn't see much people talking about how fun it was to show the ropes to... let's say, their cousin. Only thing close I saw is a guy berating his brother because the kid was proud of his D on Cowgirl. Not much cooperation there, I see...

Well I've taught three others how to play DDR, and well. One is just getting used to 3 footers, one gave up because he started to hate video games, but he got past level 4. The last one beat Paranoia Max before I did.

Anyway, I play for the fun. It is just so much fun. When I see an Arcade with a DDR machine, I instantly grab a few quartersout of my pocket and play. When I play at home it is for fun and to sharpen my skills. When I'm in an Arcade playing (Like today) I play to get a croud and show off, and to have fun while doing it, maybe play someone else, a little firendly compitition. Well that's me....

I play for the fun of it. Not to beat some elitist jerk in a round of DXY 3 times in a row and become popular. I just play for fun.

Well let's see....

First off I don't play DDR for fun. Second of all it's not dancing. You're just stomping on four arrows.

Third of all you guys act as if all the good people are jerks and A*sholes. Well that's not true. I'm trying to reach the highest level of ability that my body will allow, and to show all of you fun people what is like to really like to achieve something playing DDR.

You guys can do what you want but AAA'ing a song is all and stomping the crap out of noobs in competition is just how I get my rocks off. Of course you guys won't agree with me, but someone's gotta put you guys in your place on the pads. devil.gif

In the end when I'm on the pads I am the devil, but when I'm off the pads I'm always willing to talk to people and sometimes give advice if they want it. So don't judge us elitist too badly. Ok?? riiight.gif

P.s. To kind of make up for the fact that I don't play DDR for fun I always try to have fun with the people I'm around. We always have a good time. So there is there is the two sides of me.

I play for fun, and to help my friends who arent very good at it, they always watch me and go "matt, your insane on this", and they think im all good and stuff. I play on all levels, from Max300 on light, to Rythem and Police on standard, to Sandstorm on heavy. Right now, at the campground i go seasonal at, we are trying to get any DDR Machine there, or, if they cant get a DDR machine, either a PIU or a TechnoMotion machine there.

P.S. Has anyone seen the new Nike commercials? they have PIU on it

Technically, I mean no disrespect to those who can do better than me. It's just the fact that some of you self-proclaimed "kings and queens of DDR" work my nerves. I can understand being better than everyone else but when your head begins to swell up and you claim to run things, that's when I have a problem.

You kind of people that challange n00bs because you think it looks good make me sick. Obviously buddy you have some serious mental problems if you get your kicks by bullying those less experienced than you. It's AOK to strive to be the best, but don't bring others down. Especially those that aren't that good at DDR. If you wanna be the best, beat the best. That's my philosophy but it's your problem.

By the way, as if you can't tell, I play for fun.

Nowadays I play once a week just to keep the cardio training up. The treadmill at the gym gets tedious over time. blink.gif

So in other words, it's for fun. I was training one of my mates on double until he had an asthma attack. He's made considerable progress and can do the low/mid-level double catas.

I play because I love humiliating kids and insulting them after, I then throw them off of my DDR machine and proceed to show the computer who is boss.

Edit: Btw, I am the ddr king of temecula.

First off, if they're in a tournament, and a "newb" is pitted against a more experienced player, anything goes. However, if a "n00b" is pitted against a more experienced player, the "n00b" gets his/her just desserts. What's the difference? A "newb" is a begginner, and a "n00b" is an abnoxious egotistical asshole who THINKS they are the absolute king/queen of DDR, or anything else. So to say that someone has a serious mental problem about bullying "n00bs", can only mean that you are actually sticking up for "n00bs", or you're a "n00b" yourself.

Personally, I like kicking the shiet out of "n00bs" because they think they are the shiznitdabnabbit, then you put them in their place, and then they get all butthurt afterwards. So I guess according to you, I have mental problems as well, and I bet there's alot of other people that feel the same way I do, so does that mean we ALL have mental problems, or no?
