need help with my flip top(someone posted i should post this here)

i got the flip top from ps2cover.com that came with what it said was the 3.2 swap magic combo.

it came with a swap magic disk that said swap magic 3.0(DVDs) and in small print 3.2 usa build and a 2.0 disc(CDs)

now i cant even get the 2.0 to load right it just keeps saying disk error and the dvd disc loads and i can swap out for the game(using ddr extremejp) and after it loads i get what i assume is japanese for screw off you are using a illegal way of playing text with yes or no question box below it.

i dont know what im doing wrong but from all accounts that i have read the discs would make it so i could play imports just fine without gamesharks/mod chip ect.

what am i missing here? im doing what the web site says
I have a v9/10 playstation 2 if that helps

i just wanna play my 2 games i got and its driving me mad that i have no clue why its not working (party collection and extreme)

Its basically just like the Messiah 2 and Magic 3.1. Ive heard of it and its just a decent modchip and sometimes is a little cheaper.

i feel like a dumb buttocks now but at least extreme works.

i cant get the swap disk for the cd ps2 games to load right and probally its something stupid as well but here goes.

all but one screw went back into the system when i put the flip top on.
the silver screw(long) that went near the reset button would not go in(because the flip top didnt have the hole li,ke the original)

i put the swap magic 2.0cd disk in for cd based games and do the whole turn one comp wait for prompt.

only had it work 1/30 trys

most of the time it just makes a couple click sounds and after 30 secs goes to browser screen saying disk read error.

i had it work once because when it was loading i was shaking the ps2 cursing it saying i was gonna throw it out the window.....and it worked...i havent been able to reproduce the effect though.

so i was able to play party collection once

any help you can offer would be great ,thanks in advance and to everyone who helped me realize the memory card deal in my other posts simular to this

chaos stepz and Lao, the swap disc 3.0 should work with your version. it works on all versions....

Now time for me to go and install MY fliptop and i will tell u what u g uys did w rong until then PEACE>...........

Hey guys im looking to purchase this and i have read through the forums but could I get a few reviews of people that have installed/tried it out. It seems easy enough but is there much of a chance of screwing up your ps2, im a pretty careful guy but opening up a 150 dollar ps2 to add a 40 dollar addon..im a bit leary of that and if this is a good solution for import games what would be the most realible company to purchase the cover/swap disk from, thanks for any responses!

flip top itself took 5 min to install and went like a breeze.

i have a v9/10 machine(whatever that means) and had to get the "special" fliptop for it.

the dvd disk works great but the cd disc(boots all cd format ps2 games) i have had trouble with not booting up right.

i have found if i boot a US ps2 game up then switch to the swap magic CD disc it will work though(no clue why).

was able to play extreme and party collection tonight(finally)

if i can do it i think anyone can

just wondering if there is a sticky or thread on how to make back ups of DDR games.

with some of the older mixes being in rare find and costing a good chunk of $$$ i think i wanna make back ups of my games and put the originals away for safe keeping. I wanna back up extreme(dvd), party collection(cd) and 4+5mix for ps1. i just got them all in the mail and it cost enough that i dont wanna have to buy them again if they get stolen or damaged.

the swap magic says it will play these back ups but i dont know where to start on how to make them.

also if i have a dvd game like extreme do i need a dvd writter or can i do it on a cd-r?

If its on DVD itll need to be written to a DVD-R. I use Nero to copy DVD and CD games.
