if not, who has a modded bns and hows it play?
i have the luxury of living 45 min away from BNS so i can just go buy one and mod it, but i want it to be reponsive and last a long time.

I'd say this is a good deal. I bought a "clone" of this once and it worked great even but wasnt very durable. This one however, seems more sturdy and of better quality. I say go for it! _________________

How frequent do you play DDR?
Can you afford a CF if you choice to buy one?
Are you willing to do regular maintainance on a pad?
Those are good pads because the arrows are actually polycarbon unlike other vendors that have acrylic arrows. Hitoriki bought those pads and he seemed to like his except for the squeeky noise it makes on very soft carpet. [/quote] |

Go with the Cobalt flux. I'd love to see the end result when an SUV takes over the TX-2000...
The handles break off, They have acryllic arrows, they are foil-copper contacts, which requires a small mod. Plus they are overall, about 1/3 as good as cobalt flux, which isn't worth 1/2 the price.
nuff said. Cobalt flux+SUV=winning CF. go with that. _________________

i must admit CF's are amazing....although i do have friends who like having arrows that rise up from the pad so they know where they are on the pad. so the flush CF wouldn't be good for em. of course its just some ppl..... |

Does anyone know if that's a ripoff sale? Because, that's an AWESOME buy if it's real! |

Well, my Ignition has finally worn out. I'm ordering a Cobalt Flux pad tomorrow because everyone says they're so great. This is my last resort, though - If I get a CF and it breaks I'll renounce DDR. I'm just tired of replacing pads. |

Yes, that is a legit auction, real, not fake, not rip, not scam, etc. As long as your provide the correct billing and address information, then you'll get a very cheap but a very exceptional metal pad with "polycarbon arrows." The other ebay seller "discount-auction" seller have the same claim, but when I got mine pad from him, it turned out to be a tx-1000 which acrylic arrows. judysdeal and ngult are the only two vendors that "I know of" that have metal pads with polycarbon arrows. |

Just cuz a pad can withstand the wrath of an SUV doesn't make it better then anyother. How it preforms....does. Basicly it's all about what the player prefers, not how good or expencive the pad is. Use what ever you think/will work best for your style of play. |

How good the pad is doesn't have to do with how good the pad is?
The quality of the CF is amazing, thats what the above post is saying, TX-2000 are known to break, the handles and the arrows. thats with normal play, CFs are the top-rated, they are nice and sensitive, as well as bieng extremely Durable*suv*. _________________

Unlike you guys, I don't have or choose to spend $350 on a DDR pad. I'm satisfied with my tx-1000 and I doubt it'll be dieing any time soon. |

alright guys. now i've done it. i said i was gonna get a bns pad... but i just realized how much my summer job pays so i went with the cf! i broke down. cheapest bastard in the world went for a cf. i just want a pad that i dont have to worry about stomping it too hard or whatever. so i can just play ddr. that is my reason for getting the cf. after changing my mind a buttload. plus i'm going off to college and want to let other people play it without having to worry about them breaking it. _________________

That's a pretty good and considerate idea, Mr. Nick. Hope you have fun with that in college. I think maybe I can persuade my parents to buy me a CF as a graduation gift... only two years left. >_< _________________

well i just got my bns pad and started playing, i decided to ignore the scratches on the pad cuz they were so small.
i was wondering if the same mymybox sheet metal mod is exactly teh same for the bns as for the mymybox.
if so shoudl i do it now? or when i notice it starting to wear down?
thanks!
~bobby
