I tihnk what's liable to happen is that when you step on the plexiglass, you're gonna compress the whole pad and trigger all the sensors at once.

Yup unless you cut out squares of the plexiglass and have a piece of metal or plywood to have a frame for the pad. Look at the real metal pads and look at how they're built. They have metal frames, with the plastic (or plexiglass) on springs so that you cna trigger each arrow respectivly on its own. Just study and use logic and you can figure this out but if you have any specific questions ask us. We're not going anywhere E1.gif

ok heres what i think you guys are telling me. if u put a piece of plexiglass over it, then when i start playin, i hit th left arrow, but it will trigger all the sensors and think i hit all the arrows. so then celestial told me that if i cut out pieces where the arrows are, then it will work. am i right cuz im kinda really confused right now =P

I don't even think that will work. I think your best plan would be to put a board under it, and either use hard foam or no foam.

Tape the edges of the pad onto the wooden board, and wrap a sheet of plastic around it. Staple the plastic onto the edges of the board. It's worked for me, and my pad turned out fine for quite a while.

It's the inside that rips, not the outside (unless you're playing barefoot and really sharp toenails)
