well, i dont mind if ppl make fun of ddr. i dont like it, but i mean if u ignore it then its fine. BUT, if they start making physical contact with u, then id defently get of the pad and start fighting them back. BUT if it gets worse and when im playing they unplug the machine, hands down im gunna punch em in the face. BUT in nyssa's situation, which was racist, then man thats when i would snap. if sum black dude said that to me, except said that white guys cant dance, i would DEFENTLY deck him in the face and ah hem "bust him up" =P. but when it gets that bad though, then certian conditions would apply. so, they say it sucks, meh, ignore it. unplug the machine, physical contact. pushing me whhile im dancin, physical contact. racist remarks. hmmm....... physical contact to the maxx =P

Well I dunno about punching anybody in the face over DDR, but racial stuff will fire me up pretty quick. I get the exact opposite of what you guys get: "Black guys can't play DDR" or "Black people can only freestyle, they don't know how to PA." I can't tell you how many times I've seen/heard that just on this site. Unless somebody touches me or hits a VERY sensitive mark in public though, I'm not going to go off on them (although a sarcastic, witty comeback is my specialty  ).

I'm a pacifist, so I tend to just ignore them. I've got nothing to gain by getting kicked out of my arcade, beat up, or otherwise soiled. Fortunately, the people who work at that arcade all know me, so they stick up for me or kick the offending people out, and refund my game for me (plus some, sometimes...) when the machine gets unplugged.
I think it just comes with being in the overwhelming minority. I'm not sure about the makeup of the people on this site, but in places where the black people are in the minority, they'll be more likely to get picked on. In places where the white people are in the minority, such as my arcade, they're more likely to get picked on. It's just a strength in numbers thing.

I have been made fun of once, but they were some stupid little white kids who were trying to act black or whatever, and because all the wrappers dont do it, they have to dislike it.

| Wierd. I've never had any trouble with hecklers in arcades or gamerooms, but only with the home version (family friends, etc.) but they usually come around as soon as they realize how it's played. When i used to play in the bar, I had some pretty good treatment. Never a negative comment. Very friendly people in bars. |

Exactly what I was thinking! lol THAT is true and sweet Revenge. He did it to you.. you do it to him.. lol
Eh.. since everyone is putting up stories about what happened to them when those stupid people come up i'll add mine. PLUS props to ddrfan.
Anywho here's what happened. I was playing at this hotel I was at. and some no talent a$ s clown came and started making fun of the game and saying that it was gay and only gay people play this game. So I decided to get off right in the middle of my song and get in his face.. (I'm a sort of hot head at times .. specially to people like this) he looked at me and said "what do you want you little cigarette?"I said "I want you to get your ugly face out of this arcade before I kick it in..." he decided to to that little Pssh thing and leave because he probably thought I was serious (as mad as I was.. I wouldn't have hit him) well I started playing again and he came back 20 minutes later only to say the same things.. by this time I was tired, mad that my highscore wasen't on the machine anymore, and still hating this guy. So I did the exact same thing and got in his face again... Only this time he decided to shove me away and say that I was too close and I might kiss him or something in that sense. So I think anyone would be mad at that. Well the manager (who's a cool guy) was listening in on what was happening and was about to walk over when the dude pushed me again and told me to get out of the arcade and that he didn't like my kind there.. Well It ended up with the manager pulling me off the guy that now had a bloody nose black eye Most likely a headache. and I might have chipped a tooth of his but I dunno and I still don't care. The manager told the guy to get the hell out of his arcade. So the dude left and I never saw him again.. The manager said I have to be careful because there is cameras .. but he'd let this one slide and if any security came he'd vouch for me. I was then in a good mood. Of course.. I didn't get free plays.. like coolio DDRFAN did.. but I had satisfaction that I kicked the crap out of a fool : ) thats all for now!
