Finally tried that GF 11th mix/DM 10th mix at AI today. Talk about a lot of pink & a lot of classy entries! But jamming on that Extra song is so darn tough! Level 68 on Basic Mode for GF, while level 72 on Basic Mode for DM. Thanks, Melchor & David, for jamming with me at AI! Too bad there were no card slots on this one! Is that a trip or what? Please reply, over! Thanks!

Heh, GF11/DM10...all we have down at Seaside is a Drummania 1st Mix. There are so few songs on it that I look at the 2nd Mix list at times and wonder "If only, if only..." frown.gif Still, a side benefit of playing the same songs over and over is getting used to the patterns and rolls (Sunny Side Street Normal, especially). I've managed to pass everything up to 6-notes as well as Waza (Real) and Hypnotica (Expert Real)...only being able to go to 2x really, really sucks, because I'll try Ultimate Power (Expert Real) or Across the Nightmare (Expert Real) and just tense/lock up because I can't mentally decipher the patterns fast enough.

*sigh* There's always next week.

We just got GF10/DM9 here and it's awesome!!!

MUCH better than the last mix, and Hansome Jet L-Project (or something similar) is amazing!

It was great being able to play "Happy Man" again too.

I was wondering if anyone else got this mix yet, also what do you think of it, and is the next mix much better? (songlist-wise)

Yes, pretty much all the Golflands in the western part of the United States had GF10/DM9 for awhile, it is much better than the last mix, but you'll eventually get annoyed by the fact that there are some hidden songs that so far can't be unlocked or downloaded outside of Japan, or by the fact that it's nearly impossible to earn the privilege of playing Timepiece Phase II.

that blows....

It's still better than the last mix. It took forever to get rid of it! I just wish they would have brought back Double Trouble.

It's awesome, but I have no idea what the title is.... E19.gif

Thanks... E4.gif

Hope that the rich arcade chain in our country gets PF 10 (asian version) and GF 11(asian version) complete with the sessioning, e-amusement and Gitadoland stuff. Time for Funky Sonic World.

E-amusement:

First it was Japan, then Konami spread it to the other asia region. First on the other asia list was Hong Kong. It was a dramatic success and almost all(more than 92%) of the PF 10 and GF 11 machines in the country have e-amusement enabled on it. Followed by Singapore with the first and only e-amusement PF machine on Lot 1 on CCK area/town. I believe and I hope that the next country to get E-amusement here in Asia is not Malaysia, nor Taiwan but the PHILIPPINES!!!!! Time to make a miracle in our country.

Well, we just recently got a GF11th at our arcade..... But, the new DM hasn't arrived yet. disgust.gif

Because I'm a curious beast, I would like to know if anyone knows what the new songs are like in DM? (as I've only played them on GF)

For instance, how are songs like Rolling1000toon and Dragon Blade on DM?

First of all, this topic should be made a 'sticky'.

I wouldn't know anything about that, heh, our arcade only has a 'precussion freaks 3rd'. Very, very sad. E2.gif

This thread's stuck around for quite a while, and there's still a possibility of new GF/DM home games, so a sticky for this thread can't hurt.

From now on it'll be the GF/DM thread, though, since them games are closely related. DM fans shouldn't worry about GF players getting in the way; GF discussion is almost nonexistant here. E15.gif

I like the way you think. E13.gif

Can anyone beat the song called 'Day Dream' from DM 3rd on Expert Real? It's the encore stage and it seems quite impossible. I can't even get 10 seconds into it.

I didn't think the first 10 seconds of DayDream was too bad. laugh.gif

Well.... there are mixed opinions out there.... some people think Day Dream is harder than most songs, but what do you call harder? When you say harder, do you mean fast crazy ride cymbal with fast crazy bass? Or when you say harder, do you mean odd time signatures with fast changes? The Least 100 Seconds has odd time signatures with very hard fills. Brazilian Anthem is a combination between Day Dream and 100 Seconds in a sense that it has some fast cymbal with very odd timing.

IMO, Day Dream is no-where near "The Hardest Song". The only thing hard about it is to just get the pattern right. There's not very many and if you can get one, you can get them all. Try to play the Least 100 Seconds, Children's Sketchbook, or any of Jimmy's Jazz and you'll see why I say DD is not that hard compared. E4.gif

Yeah, Daydream has pretty simple patterns, but trying to keep down a one-handed roll for most of the song is damn near impossible.

well..My kind of thread. In my opinion, The least 100 seconds isnt the hardest song. It has one hard part, the rest is cake. The middle is that one hard part. If you can get by there its cake. I know it is. But having our maching on difficulty 8 or whatever the highest is, doesnt help much. Childrens Sketchbook isnt to hard of a song either. Mostly the beggining is the hard part. The ending and such really isnt to bad. It flows smothly and its only difficult keeping the bass pedal going. Day Dream. Hmm. A short song but very difficult nonetheless. Keeping that roll on the cymbal while having the double kicks and such makes for quite a difficult challenge. Im really leaning towards DD to be the hardest song. I mean, those rolls at the end are so fast. The ride cymbal kills your hand. Theres one break in the song. Your hand is practically dead by the time your done. And you cant use 2 hands on the cymbal with out messing up something else. I say its a dead tie between DD and Herring Roe for the hardest song. Herring roe is ridiculous. I have a friend who can A Stuffl ike Concertino in Blue, Childrens Sketchbook, S Tamyura, etc etc. but who can only get a C on Herring Roe. It has got to have some of the weirdest patterns ive ever seen.

Herring Roe should not be a 97. More like a 98. Same with DD and TL100Sec. I dont think theres any song out there right now that deserves that 99 Rating. Sure Oni Himes hard, but not as hard as DD, Herring Roe, TL100Sec. Id give Oni Hime a 97. I mean, the one point doesnt seem like that much of adifference, but it took me a long while After i could pass 95s and such before i could even think of passing something like Childrens Sketchbook or Tamyura. Then again, I can easily A Tamyura, and ive gotten to the very end of Sketchbook. Those Tom rolls are really hard with a machine thats not in tip top shape.

Wow, thanks for the info! biggrin.gif I can't play anything harder, or anything else for that matter, because the only arcade that has DM (It's even Precussoin Freaks disgust.gif ) has 3rd mix. I wish he'd upgrade to at least 5th mix, if not 10th.
