Wrong! He starts saying: "PERFECT COMBO!!!" after 1,000. My highest combo thus far is 1,800.

It's "Ashita ga aru sa!" which is Japanese for "There's always a tomorrow."
As for the "Combos" thing...he says that for every combo up to 1000.
"100 combos!", etc. Once you get to 1,100 he says "PERFECT COMBO!"
Reasoning: You've hit 100, 200 (etc) steps sequentially, and it exemplifies a plural form of combo. So he says "combos". Like when you go to a resturant and get a combo meal, more than one is referred to as "combos". You wouldn't say 2 Combo. It sounds weird. You'd say "2 Combos". Unless another word preceeds the number or comes after the word combo, it's "combos".
There's your English lesson for the day, children.

where did they come up with those sayings?  |

Here are some that really piss me off:
"YAAAAHOOOO!!!" in the middle of the song.
"Do you have a cold? *cough* *cough*" when you fail
I think it really funny when your doing an Oni like World Tour with 9 songs, you fail the 1st song, and he says "You were doin' alright til halfway".
How about the selection screen when you are selecting a Nonstop/Oni and he goes "DDDDANCE!", "It's SHOW TIME!!"

i think the dumbest is in 5th mix when the announcer says " your dance reminded me of a better tommarow we can call it our hope"
