Every once and a while, I get really far in my home version, and the game data on the Memory Card corrupts. Does anyone know why??

either bad memory

its full

off-brand

or a sector far along has been damaged.

just my guess.

cure? maybe get a good sony cart from a retail outlet and protect it. remember that memory is very sensitive to magnets, (speakers, headphones, damn near anything electrical)

Same thing happened to me 2wice. It was a terrible thing, too. I know the last time it happened, it was because i removed the memory card while it was saving but apart from that, id say that the file just corrupted to make me feel fuct. This is especially depressing in DDRMAX where you have to play about 555 time to unlock drop the bomb. My solution was to have 2 memory card and copy the ddr files into the two. Now if one corrups, your not screwed cuz you have the file safe in the other memory card.

And just for people who might be dumb, if youre playing the game and it gives that crap, do not take out the corrupt card and put in the back up. I beleive that this could just screw both of them up. You must turn the system off and then copy the file after deleting the corupt data.

Thats my solution. Remember. Sony may have a defective-system, but it has many goodies to cover that up.
