Okay, so anyway, I was playing a buncha 9 footers today, and I tried Dance Dance Revolution on extreme on challenge difficulty

At some point in the song, it had Afronova's steps
(LDLDRDRDLULURURULURLDRLURLDRLUR)

and also at some point, was AM-3P's long crossover part from the beginning of it's heavy steps

So the question is... are ALL the steps in that song sampled from other songs, or just those 2 parts...and if so, what other songs does it sample steps from? Those were the only 2 I recognized.

Is it just the challenge steps or do the other difficulties follow the same sampling style for their steps too?

Sadly, the part they take from Nite is where you spin 15000000000000 times.
