The good thing about judysdeals pad is that the arrows are polycarbon. The pad in DDRdre post it like the judysdeals pad but the arrows are acrylic which is supposely not as durable. Your best bet is to go with judysdeals that has polycarbon or the same pad (with acrylic arrows) off of ebay for less.

yes i can vouch for the judysdeals pad. it is very good for its price. it does squeek a bit however.....its just my carpet though. too cushy. make sure u have a thin carpet or wood floor if u don't want squeeking.

Ok i was looking for pads again last night and found this one

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=21185&item=8111259479&rd=1

looks like an exact replica of the RO metal pad, only 70 bucks cheaper.

Anyone had any experience with this one?

Those are RO clones, being that it has the 3 extra inches in the back. It has the metal frame and polycarbon arrows like RO and most likely has the same build as RO or any other metal pad. So those pads are another good choice. Unfortunately I have yet to see any testimonals for the pad from that buyer "recently" (there was in the past) to say I'm confident about my claim.

Does anybody know the pin configuration for the D-Sub connector on the RedOctane PS2/Xbox control box?

So if I don't feel like wasting $300 (yes, I mean wasting) on a Cobalt Flux, what would be the next best Metal Pad? I'm willing to spend about $150.

Ebay:
Judysdeals - $99
ngult - $129
shipping = $40-$60

Any other ebay pads aren't as good, these are your best choices at the lowest price.

Hey thanks! Do you know of any mods that need to be done to either of them? I hope it doesn't require me to open up the wires of it.

Edit: does the Judy's Deal one come with a control box?

Before you play, do the sheet metal mod. Which is duct taping metal underneath the arrow.

Yes, judydeals comes with a ps2 control box.

lol. cobalt flux is the best pad ever made except the arcade pads. if u can play shoes in the arcade u can play it on the CF. trust me it won't break. SUV's have crushed it without damaging the pad. two shoes won't do much of a difference.

i just got my metal pad yesterday. the tx-2000. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=62053&item=8112755951&rd=1. have had no problems with it so far. it was delivered to me the day the seller said it would. i tried to play with my socks and my shoes. doesnt really hurt my feet playing with socks except the bolts really really hurt if you hit it too hard. playing with shoes really makes no difference except a lot of noise. btw it is very silent with playing with socks. i noticed that that playing with shoes also left marks on the arrows and did kinda hurt the copper after hardly even playing E19.gif . hope this helps anyone willing to consider buying this pad E1.gif .

Open it up (the arrow panels) and take a look at the contacts. Check for any unconnected wires. If you see any that are unconnected, solder them back on, or use some aluminum foil and some tape. After that, clean the copper sensor with a damn brillo pad.

All the wires were fine? Under each panel? You made sure that they were all connected properly to the copper plate, right? Also try opening up the center panel, that's where the circuit board is. Check for loose connections there.

Discount Auctions... Are they any good??? This pad says Polycarb arrows, and it says frame is fully constructed of metal. Is there any good reviews of these pads.
