What's on your feet while playing DDR?

[I play DDR]

I wear socks at home and old brown utility skate shoes at the arcade. But never play in soap shoes

i wear the shoes i wear everyday - indoor soccer shoes (adidas samba) - and they're super comfy. i even played with them the first day i got them, and i hadn't played in forever. i recommend getting a pair, if you feel like shelling out some dough for some great play shoes. totally worth it ^.^

Im about to get some Chuck Taylor's, high cut. Why do people dislike these for DDR?

Absolutely nothing is on my feet when I play at the arcade lol. People think its strange but I play alot better without shoes or socks...though I put a sanatizer on the bottom of my feet because only God knows whats lurking on the bottom of other peoples' shoes.

I usually wear my Converse when I'm at the mall, but I'll play barefoot or in socks when I'm at home, esp. since I have one of the cheaper dance pads.

when I play at the arcades, I play with New Balance "cross training" shoes, but when I used to play at home, I'd go barefoot...

I find that it is easier to play barefoot, but i tend to get my toes stuck in between the panels sometimes (it must be that machine, its REALLY worn down) but if you REEEEEALLLLY need shoes, i suggest Converse Chuck Taylors. They are so comfy and I wear them for everything. Try those!

At the arcade, I play with my old skool Adidas. And I'm gellin'. Reall, I put those gel-pads in the shoes. It certainly feels better after a few Catas.

Well plain and simple i play shoeless on teh soft pad.
but at teh 'cades or metal home pads i have my vans or my DC's really good shoes to play in
