how can i get songs onto stepmania

Ok, alot of people have been asking me latly on AIM how to get Stepmania songs to load. So I decided to type up a little tutorial for yas.

1. Download some songs. http://www.ddruk.com is your best bet. Register, and start the leechin, yo.
2. Save them somewhere. In my documents, anywhere. Just keep them in the organized.
3. Now that you have songs. Goto "Start" "All Programs" "Stepmania" and open "Stepmania program folder"
4. Open the "Songs" folder. Now, you will make a folder for the artist of the simfiles. If you have "Arch0wl" simfiles, make a folder called "Arch0wl Originals"
5. Post all the folders that are Arch0wl songs into that folder.

Folder Map.

Stepmania Program Folder>Songs>Simfile Artist>Simfile> .dwi, .mp3, etc.

6. Open stepmania.
7. Game start
8. Select Style
9. Select Difficuilty
10. Select songs

If there are no songs. That means you mest up. Go back and check all the steps. Or the .dwi is bad. Try other ones.

THIS ALSO WORKS IN DWI. JUST OPEN THE DWI FOLDER, THAN ITS THE SAME. IN DWI, YOU MUST HAVE A .DWI FILE. YOU CANNOT HAVE JUST A .SM FILE. BUT YOU MAY HAVE BOTH

ok, i got the song downloaded but i dont know how to put the song in the song folder. someone aim me and help please, dudernahata00

I think the question is who turned on your computer. Because it's just a simple matter of dragging the song files, into the appropriate sorted folder.

Regardless, this is in the wrong forum. Let us continue in the DDR Simulators forum.
