|
|
Both of my "MymyBox" 8 button pads have the same problem. Under each button there are 3 "Sub-buttons", which is the thing that actually sees that you are stepping on the button. On one of the buttons, one of the sub-buttons gets stuck all the time, so it thinks it's holding the button down, which makes the other sub-buttons not work. Any tips on how to fix this? |

It's not metal nor soft. So it would't go into either of the sticky topics. |

Open it, and clean the insides to make it unstuck. |

With what though? I'd need something that doesn't screw up the circut right next to it... |

Do water and soap not break circuts anymore? C'mon... |

Guess what?
Water *doesn't* hurt circuits if they're not live.
There's nothing wrong with water, except that it has much lower resistance than the material which insulates circuit traces from each other, so it shorts the circuit.
The only problem you ever run into with using water to clean something is when the water has contaminants in it which remain after the circuit has come into contact with it. Solution? *Use distilled water and a chamois cloth* and just rub it off. Dry it thoroughly, and give it 24 hours in open air to air-dry afterward. You could also try alcohol. Do *not* use any detergents, however.
* NOTE * I doubt there are capacitors on the circuit board you're cleaning, but if there are, *DO NOT DO THIS*. _________________

Ok, I'll have to test that out... a guy on GameFAQs said there was a problem with the foam pads which cause it, so I may check that out. |
