DDR has been featured on G4/TechTV's team competition show 'Arena'. It was aired during their most recent season. Seeing people who have never played DDR but wanna talk smack about how good they are at any video game was hilarious. Only one guy knew what he was doing and he got flamed for being good at DDR. Although he sucked at FPS he wasn't talking smack about how good he was at any of the games.

another one on tech/g4tv (probaly already been posted) was the afronova routine played by 2 random people. The song couldn't be heard, but it was easy to tell it was afronova.

Anyway, all the players on Arena are the biggest noobs i have ever seen, no offense. If i wasn't 14, i'd go on that show with 3 other random people, and still win E15.gif

i had heard about it long before i started playing it. in 1998, before i moved away from san antonio, i saw a machine in a mall arcade (pretty sure, memory's not so clear) anyway, i can't remember if it was "never gonna get that timing or coordination" or "looks like a pointless waste of time" that i was thinking. but anyway, here i am 6 years later, on heavy mode. ironic, isn't it?

Then in the Best Buy magizine, a lot of the computers had DDR memory.
I know it doesn't have to do with DDR though.

This would make me very sad if you said that seriously.

On the Daily Show last night they were talking to some kids at an arcade and I saw an Extreme machine in the background.

I'm also assuming you've all seen Wasabi.

I know it isn't DDR, but I'm sure many people have seen the Finish Line commercial where this guy trains like crazy for a PIU competition. In the background, the song V, or Winter (whatever) is playing.

I rarely watch MTV for more than 1 hour straight, so this was the first time I've seen it.

Yeah it was one of the greates one's i've seen in a long time. Last time any music game was featured in a comercial was that sketchers comercial featuring DDR.

I'd put that commercial up there as the best involving a dancing game, although I'm wondering why everyone (there had to be 20 or so people) is shadowing the two players. It reminds me of the local mall scene two years ago when Dynamite Rave light was selected laugh.gif
