If this is in the wrong place feel free to move it...but I want outside opinions on the matter. Personally I don't know what to think about it. Yes there are the same amount of steps in the song but it's not the official step pattern..which could make it much easier to AAA a song (Sync Oni for example). What do you guys think??? |

a AAA is a AAA...if I were to AAA Max 300 on shuffle, it had damn well better count! while there are cases where shuffle patterns may be easier than the normal steps (sync oni, leading cyber, kiss kiss kiss to name a few) if you get all perfects, it's still ALL PERFECTS (and ok's) so it's a AAA... _________________

The machine still shows AAA on the results screen if you get all perfects on a shuffled song. So, I don't know why it shouldn't be counted as a AAA.

I guess it should count. It's not like you're using little or anything, I mean you still have to hit the same number of steps... plus, you have the risk of the steps being harder too, so it's really a matter of chance. _________________

Has anyone ever AAA'd anything on little that had non-1/4 notes?
Doubt it.
It counts those steps as misses, right? _________________

Since you need 100% of the DP in a song, putting a song on little that has even one non-quarter note will mean you can't AAA it. _________________

I would actually argue that a AAA on shuffle is better than a normal AAA. You never know what you're going to get on shuffle, while you can just memorize the normal steps for a given song. Granted, a AAA is amazing either way and should still count either way. But I just find anything on shuffle more of a challenge (most of the time), especially on 9's and 10's. |

for the most part, yes AAAs should count, but certain songs have shuffle patterns that make it 309480248204239432439024023049809 times easier. The only reason why sync oni is hard for example is because of the placement of the skips. Kiss Kiss Kiss could go either way (a grosser shuffle pattern or an easier one), but imo, some songs are difficult because their orginal steps have a certain theme to them (kkk and the crossover freezes), and by changing that, you get rid of the point of the song. _________________

Thats pretty much what I was thinking I know a local guy around here..I play with him quite often and he has around 50 or so AAAs...and he tried AAAing I Was The One over and over again and then he put it on shuffle and got it first try...and I thought right about then...should that even count? *shrugs* carry on wit ya bad selves XD |

actually its like getting a miss but having nothing subtracted from your dance meter cause a good adds points. its the same way if you take the freezes out. the N.G.'s don't count for or against you. anyway, if you put shuffle on a 10-step song, you AAA an unexpected pattern, but that's my opinion |

stfu.........noob
getting a good doesnt add or subtract points, it doesnt add or take life away...the only thing it does is break your combo. Its not like getting a miss because a miss subtracts DP. Putting on little is like taking half of the DP out, making it impossible to AAA a song. One more thing, if you take the freezes out, you dont get NG's, guess why......*GASP* BECAUSE THERE ARE NO FREEZES IN THE SONG!
but you already knew this, right? BTW, werent you the guy making fun of "n00bz"? yeah. _________________

SO true. He kept sending me PMs saying I was a "noob"...
I don't care if he says I'm a "noob", I just think it's weird he's sending me all those PMs for no reason... I guess he's bored. |

Should they "count"...? My opinion, yes.
But, are they different? I also think yes.
If you AAA Sync oni on shuffle, you still got an AAA. But you got one on exactly that: Sync oni shuffle. I think that's different from an AAA on Sync oni non-shuffle. I mean, I took the time to learn how to crossover the whole thing, and now I'm down to 6 greats. Whenever (if-ever >_<) I manage to AAA it, I'll be happy. So, if someone else aaa's it on shuffle, I still say they aaaed it... but it's still different. _________________

like others have said, if it shows a AAA, then you obtained a AAA, although, like ninjafetus said, it's different, mainly because some of the songs are made 'easier' on shuffle, another example (besides sync ONI) that would be easier on shuffle would be Air, IMO _________________
