Okay I KNOW I've played this song on DDR before. It's by Aqua and the chorus is something like: i'm a barbie girl in the barbie world
life in plastic, it's fantastic! Yay that song makes me so happy! Anyways, it's been driving me nuts trying to figure out what mix it's on. I was thinking maybe it's named something else? Any help?

Well, there is a cover of a song by that group called cartoon heroes... And wait, Unison is that mode on 3rd plus where one player creates the steps, and then the other guy plays them isn't it?

I thought it was a fun game, it's a music game that uses the Dual Shock analog sticks.

And you're wrong about Unison Mode! That was when the there were 3 sets of arrows in one section in the center of the screen. Left player would play red and white steps and the right player would play blue and white steps. In my opinion it was well ahead of it's time for DDR but now whenever I see a 3rd mix I have to play it with a buddy.

Ohh okay. Weird, I've never heard of that game. I remember unison MODE though...
Anyways..hmmm if I haven't played Unison before, how the hell do I know about this song?

Could you have heard it on the radio? I don't know if it is still played much anymore but back in 1997 when the song was released here, it was very popular (I still remember girls in my class singing the song and this was in 10th grade )

Unison and Battle Mode are not the same.

In Unison, there was only one Step Zone for both players. A flurry of arrows would fly up the screen. The color of the arrow determined which player hit that step. Oftentimes, they'd throw all four arrows at once, but with two arrows sharing one color, so you'd have to figure out which jump you were supposed to make, and which one your partner was supposed to make. Sometimes, in the event that your partner screws up a step, you can make the step yourself on your pad to save them.

Battle Mode was were the two Step Zones were exactly where they should be. Arrows would come up the middle of the screen, and at the last second, certain arrows would move to one player's side and onslaught them, while the other player had easy steps to play for the moment. Then it would turn around and throw mass arrows on the other side while the previous dancer got easy steps.

I remember back when I heard Blondie Girl for the first time, I thought it was some remix of Barbie Girl... could that be it?
