Lets start from the begining shall we?

A few days ago i said...

Do you know that If they took every song ever placed in a previous DDR US mix from extreme we wouldnt call konami of america eviol rertards? That and i bet Think ya Better D will be in DDREXTREME!

I am amazed at you guys' ability to ignore the fact that US will always get the most unplayed songs. You guys decide to settle for whatever they give you but you know its not fair. Some of you wish they would give you your favorite songs but they wont! The american creators dont care about the players. They care about the review magazines. If youve read the reviews, they say that its average because there are no "new modes" just new songs. The review teams fail to understangd that its the songs that make it enjoyable.

I was expecting a pretty original arcade feel with arcade DDREXTREME engine remaining in tact but NO! They ripped that off with a new engine and they took up space that should have been filled with songs and put in some extra modes to make it funner! You know what would be fun? To have a game, where i could practice and then go to the arcade and show off what i learnt? USB camera minigame? Oh! Sure! Now all i need to do is find an arcade where i can show off what i learnt at home. Oh.. wait one second! THOSE DONT EXIST!

Now if you had given me a maniac song like Paranoia Survivor max, maybe i might Justify your greediness! But the fact is that they arent going to give us the songs we want!

Cartoon Heroes? "Screw that... lets wait for next DDR season. Mey'll make millions"

Paranoia Survivor, Survivormax, sakura, LOM? "They dont need that. They have Bagn Isnt that funner?"

Max., Paranoia Respect? "Haha! Dream on!"

Across the nightmare, A, Sexy planet(from nonstop megamix)? "They dont want that! They want american songs like Averil Levigne, and Brittany Spears. Lets make a nonstop couse full of Venessa Carlton songs with less inspired stepcharts than those in Days go by"

I am not exactly sure why they do this but i beleive they are evil people! This is pretty much a plee for help! I need to be told a reason why we get the worst sonfgs and not the best? Am i being biased or unkind? Is it me? What what what? Somebody help me!!!!

This eventually got locked and obscured so i posted the same in a separate Forum called BEMANIFEVER and i got these replies:

Wow Neemo You need to chill out. Take your time, count to ten, then repost a more kind of a response. I understand where you're coming from, but if you think KOA is just in it for the reviews, your dead wrong. They do think about the buyers....because they BUY THE GAME! Why don't you stop before you type, because apparently you missed that. Also, so what if we wish that there were songs that don't ever make it. Sometimes that happens, but its their decision, not ours. Like someone said to my post before, if they made the game EXACTLY like the arcade games, the previous mixes would be futile. Please stop bashing Konami, because I'm sure they know what their doing. I know the eye toy idea might not be the greatest, but cant you at least give them credit for trying? Besides, if you don't like KOA for trying to provide us with the dance games that we love...STOP BUYING THEM.

and AFI/DDRman said,

...and pretty much all the 10step songs are going to be in DDRExtreme, they were in the Japanese version. If they're not, and you want them THAT badly, go to your local import shop and get a mod card and import DDRExtreme. It has Cartoon Heroes, Paranoia Survivor AND Paranoia Survivor Max, Max.(Period), Speed Over Beethoven, Across the Nightmare, V, etc. etc. so let's all CHILL OUT, we'll know the details when they release DDRExtreme in America this fall. If you can't wait or are unhappy, just import it from Japan! It's not expensive and it's WORTH IT.

not only that but in our own DDR FREAK Forum, ~Reign~ said,

So basically, you made this rant because they didn't change anything from the previous engines, or not giving YOU the songs YOU want to play? You, I do have to agree with some of the stuff you're saying about the songs and whatnot, but have you ever stopped and think how ignorant you sound? If you're all pissed off because Konami didn't add Cartoon Heroes, PSM, LoM, MAX., etc., then don't play/buy it. It's that simple. Do what everybody else did, and get yourself a Modded/JP PS2, buy DDRExtreme, pads, and STFU.

And so i reestablished my thoughts and said,

Quote:
Hmn...

Forgive me you all. I was just in utter anger and i didnt want to read any reason whatsoever. I just wanted to exhaust my anger and jelousy.

I understand now.

I will accept whatever it is Konami Of America hands out to me. I will follow the faith you all have in them and understand that they create the Dancing game i love with the buyer in mind.

Thank you all for your answers.

Hence, i have become less irational.

I doesnt really matter to me what happens to this topic. It may be locked. Or it may be left for people to understand what i just did. It doesnt matter to me.

Thank you all.

DDR Freak. "Move your body."

1.) KOA doesn't make the American DDR games, KCET does.

2.) What reasons do you have for presuming that all of the 10s from Extreme won't be included in DDREX US? So far any 10 footers from the Japanese games have appeared on their "corresponding" American release. Why would that trend change now?

3.) There's a forum specifically for discussion of console DDR and a thread specifically for discussion of DDREX US...try posting there. </pseudo-mod>

Actually, I believe that KCEH (Konami Computer Entertainment of Hawaii, or whatever the C stands for) is responsible for the XBox releases (read: Ultramix).

I do have to agree somewhat with Neemo, however, simply because it does seem like the US keeps getting the short end of the DDR stick. We all remember what a lackluster release DDRMax2 US was, especially compared to Max2 7th Mix. If they want to cater to a US audience, fine. However, if they are going to do that, they should use different game names. Rather than naming DDRMax2 as they did, they could have named it damn near anything else that started with DDR. We all know it's not the same game, so it shouldn't be named the same. AND, and, I think that would actually quiet a lot of the doggy about the US releases (which I readily participate in) simply because our expectations would not be raised as high by the title. Consider Ultramix. There's a lot less complaining about that, and I would assert that it is because we DDRFreaks KNEW it was an original game, not a game that really rocked in Japan but was totally butchered to bring into the US. Hmmm, in fact, I might make that a seperate thread...

Fare thee well, Riviera, and God speed.

First off, copyright issues are a pretty good reason why the US doesn't get a lot of the songs. US and Japanese Copyright laws are completely different. Also, remember, Japan made the game so don't expect America to get all of the best songs. America will get the songs that will best suit their audience (which would be... American songs such as Heaven, Days Go By, Lovin' You, etc.). You can complain all you want, I doubt they'll give us any more songs then they would've.
