My friend and I decided to do DDR freestyle routines for our school's talent show this year (we did it last year too but it got really screwed up). So we did our three routines that we worked hard on, and we got GIGANTIC standing ovations, and after each song too!!! It was so great, when we finished and went back to our seats we kept getting high fives, and comments like "nice job guys" and "that was soooooo sick". So we're happy happy.gif. We didn't win anything, we actually came in 4th place out of 26 acts (1st place winner deserved her award, but the 2nd and 3rd place winners weren't that great to be honest and objective). Also, on monday we'll be doing our freestlye routines again, except this time in front of the ENTIRE student body (high school) after the underclassmen awards because we're putting on a little review of the talent show afterwards for the people that didn't see it.

....and theres one amazing thing that might come out of this, a girlfriend haha E4.gif , and about 10 people that want us to teach them how to play ddr haha.

- im sorry if this is kinda random, but i just had to share this with everybody, everything was so unexpected and te results were so amazing! -

MOONLIGHT... you really shoud stop this journey from topic to tpic and posting those pics! Its getting wierd.

Anyways... glad to hear what you did! You are probably helpibng massive amounts of people who do not know how to turn DDR into a way of getting them some recognition. You and your friends did. You all should be proud of yourselves. I'm proud of you... and I dont even know you.

Oh and why didnt you just tell us what the people in 1st to 3rd place did? I kinda felt incomplete.

No but it doesnt exactly express an opinion and it does quite a job of destroying a mood sometime.

In other word... you should increase your skills in figuring out when the time is right to place a funny pic on the post.

Update:
Please. I really am not trying to be hostile... i just read what i wrote and it sounded pretty hostile to me.

Yes, it does because it wastes bandwidth and other people's time. Read the faq esp.

ok, time for the full story.....

(im gonna post the names because its kinda pointless is you think about it since you dont know them or me lol)

1st place - A sophmore girl played a famous violin piece with the assistance of another person on piano. Now the amazing part is that this piece was about 7 minutes long, she did it without the use of sheet music or anything like that, and it was flawless and professional, it was just simply amazing.

2nd place - A singing duet from two girls, one sophmore and one senior from drama club. They did a song from the play Wicked (a wizard of oz spinoff - and we just did our own production of the wizard of oz too, and they were both in it, lead roles). They weren't amazing, im thinking that the reason why they got second place is because theyre popular because of the play we just did (it was seriously the BEST play ive ever seen, better than all the broadway plays ive seen), and because all the teachers at the judges table (which made up about 3/4 of the judges, the rest students) liked these two girls a lot, you know, these are the people that teachers would say, "OHHHH theyre such angels!!!"

3rd place - A senior girl that danced to the most overplayed song in america right now "Yeah" by Usher. I'll admit, shes a good dancer, but this year it just seemed it was similar to what she did last year, ive seen most of the moves. I also think that she placed over us because shes graduating and she was the senior class president disgust.gif , but i cant do much about that.

....and the girlfriend thing. Heres what happened.....

After my friend and I sit back down in the bleachers after our act one girl comes up to me and says in a enthusiastic, happy, and slighty serious tone, "You're sooooo going to Prom next year with me!!!" Just for some background, we're juniors now, and we go to a small catholic high school in Connecticut, theres about 800 kids in our school 200 in my junior class, and I know everybody and everybody knows me (so id say semi-popular person, its not like im bragging or anything, im just giving background). So point being, I know this girl. At first I just though it was a joke. But the next day in school as we pass in the hall, I didn't notice her (shes short, about 5'3" and its in the middle of a crowded hallway between classed) and she grabs my arm and says "hey" and smiles sweetly. Then a while ago she starts talking to me online, where she gives me her cell phone so i can call her, i dont ask for it, she gives it to me. So right now I don't wanna assume anything, but it would be really nice if I got a girlfriend outta this because I've liked her for a while and shes a really sweet girl.

so....i hope that explains your questions, ill answer any more if you have em

and another thing, i dont really care about the pictures unless its like, a threat or its something mean directed towards me. it didnt really bother me, it just gave me a small laugh when i saw that picture, because i just dont like that whole thing about being ghetto (no offense to you if you are, i just dont like it in general, but ive got some friends that are like this and theyre still great friends ya know?)

Eh, some people are way too sensitive about things said/done on the internet. It's the INTERNET. Who cares. The internet shouldn't be taken seriously anyway.

Yeah, i guess the whole bandwith fear thing is too sensitive but argh!

back to business...

Im glad to hear the whole story. You seemed to have really apreciated the 1st place gal and what she did, because you seemed to have understood the circumstances that made that amazing. Your story is one of a great DDR prodigy! My hats off to you.

However...

I want to give you a piece of advice that i really should have gotten before i got a g/f for the first time.

DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, GO OUT WITH SOMEBODY YOU DONT FULLY LIKE. DO NOT GO OUT MAINLY BECAUSE SHE WANTS TO GO OUT WITH YOU. IF YOU DO, YOU LEAD YOURSELF INTO PAIN. THE LIKE-LEVEL OF BOTH MUST BE IN SYNC.

Well, you seemed like a nice guy and all so i just thought i'd help you out of experience on that. Maybe you need the same experience too but really, tis all i can say.

First off, read the FAQs. Nobody cares if you take the internet seriously or not, just as long as you follow the rules set for the boards.

Second, think of your own insults. If you need to use an image that's not even funny from a website that is totally lame to put down others, then..well, you know. If you don't, that's fine, because I completely understand.

By the way, uhhh... congratulations, I guess.

Way to go! *high fives* I always wanted to perform DDR in front of the school, but my school is -really- judgemental and rude. Oh well, maybe next year....

You just lived my dream. I've always wanted to do that, but my only friend here that plays DDR isn't very good. (No Offense George!) But when he gets down the timing of the songs, we'll be good to go. I was thinking of starting a DDR league in my High School, but I don't know if anyone plays. Let me Know If you live in Duluth, Georgia and go to Northview High. Or we could start an inter-highschool league...w/e im off topic. PROPS TO MEH MAN@!!!
