Beatmania and Pop N Music. There are I think 2 Beatmania games and 3 Pop N Music games (Regular game, Disney and Animelo).
I don't know how Pop N Music is since the only one I have ever seen for sale is the Animelo one which I am not interested in but I have the first Beatmania game and it's great.
If you take it for what it is which is a scaled down portable game rather than exepecting it to be just like the console or arcade Beatmania you will probably like it.
The songs are all midis like the DDR games on Gameboy Color and there is no special controller. The controller is set up like this:
Left D-Pad is Left White Key, Up on D-Pad is Left Blue Key, Right D-Pad is Center Right Key, A button is Right Blue Key and B Button is Right White Key. The turntable scratch button is start.
You can play full mode with all 5 keys and the turn table, or with auto scratch, 3 key mode with auto scratch and 2 key mode with auto scratch.
The songlist is kind of old with a lot of 2nd Mix and maybe some 3rd Mix songs but the songlist is really good. You have stuff like Classical music all the way to the Metal Gear song. |

Here's the list:
DDR
DDR 2
DDR 3
DDR Disney
DDR Oha
Beatmania GB
Beatmania GB Gacchamix
Beatmania GB Gacchamix 2
Pop'n Music
Pop'n Music Disney Tunes
Pop'n Music Animelo
The Beatmania and Pop'n Music games are all really well made, and the music quality is considerably better than the DDR games. Beatmania is composed of a mixture of arcade and Gameboy exclusive songs (the first one is half arcade songs, and Gacchamix 2 has very few). I think they all have at least 20 songs. The first Pop'n Music has about 25 songs, including most of PNM 1, and several songs that showed up later in the series. Disney Tunes and Animelo are pretty accurate conversions of the PS1 releases. I'd honestly say get any of these if you get the chance.
Check Play-Asia often. They get Beatmania GB in stock now and then, and it's about $20 including shipping.
