"They will be discussing about weight loss due to playing DDR."

They're not going there to show off. They're going there to talk, and MAYBE demonstrate a beginner/light song to show that its "easy" and "fun" to lose weight.

I'm totally for it. DDR is the only reason I'm skinny, and the only real thing that is standing against the hereditary heart disease I don't have yet.
I wish people would have seen DDR as something good a long time ago, instead of staring at us like we were idiots.

This makes 3 news articles/segments in the last two weeks...although one wasn't very positive. E1.gif I'd say DDR is making a pretty big move in our soceity right now.

Yeah, after I pulled the classic reality check, that's what I figured.

Anybody remember that one exercise video where that 800 year old woman sat in a chair and lifted her feet of the ground and apparently that was how she lost weight? That's basically whaty begginner mode is to DDR, and if that is all they show it will be a complete disappointment. They should show a progression throughout the difficulties to show how far you can go with it. One round of max 300 heavy burns 30 times as many calories as a beginner song, and no one will buy it (literally or figuratively) if they only show one end of the spectrum.

If it's SaeNoDa, they'll be using a RedOctane Ignition 2.0. They'll likely use Max 2 US since they'll be able to play mainstream recognizable tracks.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear a plug for GetUpMove.com, either.

LOL. Actually, we're using RedOctane hard pads FYI. E13.gif Actually though, I no longer represent RedOctane. This was something that just kinda came up as a result of myself working for them to promote DDR via the whole weight loss thing. I think they are using Max2, but I dont think they'll play licensed US songs on air.

Getupmove.com will probably come up considering it's pretty much what started all of this. I know that weight loss via DDR isn't a new thing for all of us, but all it took was a slow news time for the media to grab onto it like a frenzied pack of wolves. I mean, COME ON, 60% of our country is overweight or obese and you can lose weight playing a video game? Sounds pretty kick buttocks to me...

i'm surprised it really took them that long to get this kind of "weight loss" attention... i'm living proof that this stuff really works...

i started playing about a year ago (they had just gotten Konamix released for home... go figure)

in the past year, i've gone from 325 lbs down to 285....

Aw, I was close! E1.gif

Now it's a race to see if I can get www.ddr4health.com up and running before the 4th. I'm thinking not (I still have to do all the graphics), but still, it is my intention to provide an online DDR health resource not tied to a DDR equipment vendor. Because, yeah, DDR is a great way to get some exercise and it seems like more and more people are going to be looking for information about it.

For those who haven't seen, PMG will also be a part of the Today Show's DDR bit. Yay!

When I talked to the lady today, she confirmed that it will be DDR Max2 for PS2 featured on the show.
