Well, my opinion is that high schoolers are maybe a little obsessive. But I am also an obsessor. Its just that maybe high schoolers are a little more of a freak than middle schoolers in general, in my opinion.

I see alot of graducated people play ddr meaing in their 20's.
and i see like 5 middle schoolers and 5 high schoolers or graducated students every weekend.

And how would u kno if they in hs or middle school?

if u go by their height then i think that is just kind wrong. bc im 19 and i look like im 15 but im not.

Maybe middle school kids don't want to get laughed at for playing DDR, who knows, Kids in middle school tend to make fun of kids about things more then people in High School, also High Schoolers have money from jobs and such unless they still get their money from their parents or sell crack on the streets.

Yeah, I know tons of middle-schoolers that play DDR. I know tons of high-shoolers that play DDR, too. I know tons of people who are out of high-school that play it, too. Evertone plays DDR, pretty much.

Well in my town, everyone but me and my 2 friends love DDR. Our town just sucks, so..neither highschoolers or middle schoolers like it. But at the arcade I see more highschoolers, but some younger kids tend to play. It was so cute when this little kid acted like he could play while someone was playing happy.gif

I think you said that wrong E1.gif

Anyways I noticed (atleast here ) that of the middle schoolers that do play in my area... they don't go to the mall and play or even speak of the game. In fact I just found out a week ago a friend even knew what DDR was.

i dont know many people that play, but when i go to the arcade i always see people that look older like out of highschool ages. I also one time saw this kid, he had to be about 12 years old, he played Bag and MaxXUnlimited on heavy, and A'd them both (but he used the bar). I was just standing there in awe with my mouth hanging open. But i've seen lots of different age groups playing.

Dude... your typing skill are somewhat redundant. Are you sure you should be starting a topic?

think about this: middle schoolers are still controlled by their parents (and to some extent, high schoolers are too), so their time in the arcade is limited, if not cut off completely. when high schoolers get their licenses, they go to the arcade more often. i know i did when i got my license. and once you get a job, you have more money to burn on DDR. being in college, i play all the time at the arcade, since i have a way to get there and money to spend on it. people of all ages play DDR, but you're likely to see more older kids around arcades. younger kids probably play at home on a PS2 or something

I dunno, possibly the fact that High Schoolers have more coordination and therefore they enjoy doing it more than middle schoolers?

From a behavioral standpoint, I'd guess that middle schoolers (I am one for 2 more days, so I guess I might be one to know) are a bit more hesitant when it comes to doing something that's relatively nonconformist compared to what their peers (often the "in crowd" or "normal people") do. Also, generally I think this early teen age group is a bit more reluctant to take part in anything that might exhibit a weakness, especially a physical one.

That's exactly what I said when I started playing in 7th grade. Then in 8th grade I brought a few of my friends into DDR. And now in 9th grade I've brought a lot of my friends into DDR.

I think by the time most DDR players get to high school they've already got their friends into DDR, besides younger kids might be more intimidated by a game like that.
