Yeah, so does anyone happen to know if there's a certain weight limit/restriction for the arcade ddr pads? I'd kinda like to find out. And yes, I'm being very serious, and no, it's not me that's the fatass. lol _________________

Normal metal pads 100-300lbs and 600 lbs for the actual arcade pads, i belive. But i cant imagine a 600 lbs guy playing in the firstplace. |

Well, me and some of us, including the workers at the arcade, have watched these two REALLY big guys play, together at times, and well, we were just wondering, cause our bars are broke, and they like to bar rape sometimes, not a pretty site. hell, one of them guys needs a damn bra....shame shame he'll knock himself out one day.
edit: not only that, but that big BIG guy, he tends to try to sing to Daikenkai, and he always looks like he's gonna have a heart attack, scary crap i swear. _________________

I was wondering where the bar went . Fat people should never bar rape/hug. They should know what's gonna happen!
Most pads are 300-400. Mostly 300 lbs, depends on quality. _________________

I would say that the reason why bars break are because stupid skinny FSer's try to jump over the bar but trip their foot over it and snap it... _________________

Yeah, arcades are generally strong enough to hold anyone without any fear.
Soft pads are bad though... Even at 150 lbs you'll find they wear too quickly. -_-; _________________

If you're talking home pads: soft pads can take mostly anyone's punishment. From what I've read, Red Octane pads have a recommended weight restriction of 255 pounds and heavier. Cobalt Flux pads can withstand up to 600 pounds (the ol' drive your car over it and it still works promo, which is true cuz I've done it countless times).
Depending on the glass used on the pad, I'd say an arcade pad can take most heavy people.

Well I think the true question is, how much does the bar support? I mean arcade pads can hold ANYTHING. Unless they're poorly made, but the bar and bend eventually. _________________

if you weigh more you will exert more force on the arrow so someone like me (285) would be better at freezez than someone like you but not always Pa wise but just hitting the freeze and holding it

what arcade do you go to ill see you there and besides my home pads have a life expectancy of 15 days

one time at the SPM i saw a guy break the glass and he must have been 160 maybe it doesnt matter about the weight it matters how hard you hit the arrows if a 130lb guy stomps on the arrow as hard as he can its like me doing a double step in 1/8th beat _________________

When I first got my CF, I played in my garage. The floor of my garage is not even, so my pad moves around in all but one place. I don't feel like storing it, then spending 10 minutes adjusting the pad to the correct position once I start playing. So, when I park my car in my garage, I just go over the pad. Nothing's happened to the pad, the pad stays in its position, and it still plays great.
Just think if United Laboratories got a hold of a CF to test its durability...they'd go all out.

Yeah, i weigh about 165ish, and I broke the glass on one of the arrows, but that was cause i jumped over the bar and put out a lot of force with the way i landed with my left foot. stupid me haha _________________
