I was wondering how everyone else plays DDR at their homes. Do you usually have a huge stereo system setup and blasting with bass or turn the volume down as low as possible or even off when you play DDR. I personally usually play with a moderate volume but on days where I'm "pumped up" I will turn on my 3 stereo system with big bass lol.

i don't have a big speaker system attatched to my tv, but i do turn the volume up pretty high. higher than for just watching a show.

I would like to have my volume up loud, but since i'm 17 and live with my parents and 2 older brothers who think the music is annoying, i leave it at a moderate level. Although when i'm home alone, thats a WHOLE different story!! E15.gif

Loud. If I can't hear myself stomping, then it's perfect.

I play DDR probably at a moderate volume level. There's usually someone else in the room when I'm playing, so I try not to make it to loud. When I'm home alone, I turn the volume up much higher, though. :o

For me, it really depends..
I dont like it TOO high, because it just becomes painfull to the ears and distracts me. When I m pumped i like it loud though... makes me feel more energetic happy.gif

Ive had the cops called on me for disturbing the peace while playing DDR. My system is in my basement and my neighbors could still make out the words to the song. I'm partially deaf though probably do to stuff like this. When the cops came I didn't answer the door because I was halfway through Can't Stop fallin in love speed mix. Boy howdy were they ticked. Lets just say I play a little bit quiter now.

Just so loud that it's barely on the verge of detonating my eardrums. But not quite. E4.gif

Well, I play at the only arcade I've heard of that has an easily accessible volume control - having it in a bowling alley, it can't always stay at one volume really.... but my ideal volume is when the bowling alley is busy as hell, and turning it up just loud enough to block out the rest of the noise... such a perfect place to play, once the lights go out and the volume gets turned up! Since the volume on the machine in my arcade is barely audible, I usually blare my home speakers as loud as possible.......

.......But only until I get yelled at to turn it down riiight.gif

Louder than I should have it...or at least that's what my parents tell me. It messes me up for the arcade though because the machines are never as loud as I would like to have them.

my local arcade is envy of my setup.
and my neighbors do not like me

infact due to me being here i have had many neighbors MOVE because of my DDR setup

i usally have the music up at 8 out of 10 most of the time like 95% of the time. i play at any time of the day or night i feel like it. and here lately that's been hitting me at 3 am in the morning.

i've been asked by my land lord to keep it down but seeing he lives a good 4 hours away from where this apt building is located i can always say i didn't have it up that loud.

oh they don't like me they really don't and it doesn't help that i have a room mate who is 120 pounds bigger than me who loves to play ddr and is "BETTER than me at it. he has no problem attacking those cata's song at 3 in the morning either.
