|

Hey guys, I've had said pad for quite a while. Story is, 6 days after receiving it and using it... the thing broke on me. I was pissed off to the point where I shoved it under a bed and forgot about it until a few days ago.
The problem is, the down arrow is continuously pressed (stuck on). I have taken the arrow off, looked at the sensor (well the board with the solder mask connections), I tried re-soldering just about every wire on the control board as well as the wires on the sensor. It remains stuck even if I desolder the wires coming from the down arrow sensor. I thought that maybe the wire coming into the pad was cut somewhere causing a wire to ground out (the hole for the wires is very small which caused the rubber coating to be cut up) but that led nowhere as well.
I'm at a loss as to where the problem could be. I bought a psx controller that I will solder on in place of the control board if it comes down to it, but I wanted to ensure that there's nothing else to try first.
Can take pics if need be... lemme know what you wanna see and I'll snap the shots.
Thanks in advance |

Dude seriously, what is the malfunction of you people? It was my FIRST post, I didn't think to tack it onto the back of a 66 page thread my bad.
Nobody has had a fix to this problem. Vsamaco is being a real trooper in trying to help me out, but unfortunately he didn't read my post because most of the things suggested were covered in the original text.
If my asking for help is greeted like this, than I think I'll just take my happy arse off of these forums and give you guys your space.
If you geniunely wish to help, awesome I have nothing but praise for you. But if the majority are going to be like Captain @$$hat, or rather DDR2k3... then please lemme know that as well so I can stop wasting everyone's time.
Again, thank you kindly vsamaco for working with me on this, I truly appreciate your effort. |

you don't have to be such a bitch about it. people are expected to follow the rules of the forums here. true, it was a little pointless for DDR2k3 to post that, but you don't have to fly off the handle. we're not trying to antagonize you. just follow the rules and everything will be ok. glad you could get some help for your problem. _________________

Wasn't being a doggy(<---- whoa how come you can say |3ยก+C# but mine makes it say "doggy"?) about anything... but enough of that. Anyhow, I don't really see how a thread discussing "Metal Pads" would be more relavant then the one I started. I did a search and found multiple other threads were people had issues like I did, started their own thread like I did, and didn't receive any of the b.s...... like i did.
I'm just saying, there's like 38K members on this forum and I get a guy whose major contribution is "This is so getting locked." I suppose I'm just frustrated with the fact that I can't seem to find the answer myself and I figured 38000 heads are better than one.
Annnnnywho, sorry I didn't post in the appropriate thread, that's fixed now. Hopefully my pad will follow suit but I guess we'll have to wait and see about that one. |

You can post and repost and repost your problem if you want, but the chances are someone's had it before, but even if that's the case, it's still cool.
We just try to keep things efficient for everyone around here. Before I became a moderator, I got in a habit of just looking for new posts in the sticky threads, and I was ignoring most of the loose scattered threads. So, if I were interested in answering your question (I'm not really informed enough myself), I probably would've missed it. loafy777 wrote: | Annnnnywho, sorry I didn't post in the appropriate thread, that's fixed now. There's one thing about the Internet that DDRFreak definitely exacerbates - Don't have a stroke when some 13-year-old somewhere puts some smack on you. Keep a level head, and you'll be the better for it.
Welcome to our forums, and I hope you like it here as much as I do. DDR2k3 wrote: | This is so getting locked. | How ironic...you're right! Except I'm doing it because of you... _________________
