Slowpoke: Make ONE post with multiple comments, not multiple posts with one comment each. In other words: stop postwhoring.

And you're in Florida? I think I may have met them. In fact, if they're who I think they are, I played against the mother at a tourney. Despite protests, the parents wouldn't adopt me.

Did she have light brown/tan skin (I'm not gonna try and guess nationalities and risk being wrong)? Even if it wasn't her, that's TWO DDR parents who do heavy! biggrin.gif

I have never actually met a ddr parent before, but I have seen two individuals that were around 30 play on heavy. They were great people, they seem so familiar, I swear I know who they are.

If I remember right, the family was fairly dark-skinned. The father also claimed to play, but I don't recall what skill level he said he was at.

Teehee... I got my father to play once. Note, this was back when I was on 4 footers. Anyhow, I played with him... we chose Living In America, We Will Rock You, and Butterfly. Gah, he said he was still hurting the next day. laugh.gif

Is it funny because he's playing beginner songs? Funny because he's old? Or just funny cause he's your dad?

I'm in the panhandle, sexualsoybean.

And you never know, Zukin-Man, it could be them, I have seen the dad of the family on one occasion, but I didn't see him play. So it might be!

Funny for many reasons

One he is my dad
Two when he makes fun of me for getting tired playing So Deep, Max 300, ect on maniac he has a hard time beating beginner XD
and Three... He wears cowboy boots when he plays XD

I play at the arcade with my kids and their freinds. I am finally getting to where I can pass 6-8 foot heavy songs-thanks to the encouragement of all the youngsters-I think everyone should play ddr with their kids!

You're lucky you get encouragement... my kids are too competitive for that. They're just way-too-happy to be able to pass catas that I can't (yet)

I have played with a mother of 2. Yes, she plays on heavy. But she bar rapes everytime I play with her. I don't know if she stops using it. And I think she's in her mid to late 20's.

My kids had me try beginner and I was terrible, but I went back and worked through the Lessons a dozen times and was able to do a few beginner songs after that.

My motivation was to lose weight, but I feel so much stronger and healthier after just a couple of months that I want to 'convert' everyone I know and have them all playing DDR. (g)

Hey, DDRmom, how elderly are you? So far I'm the oldest at 47. Slowpoke says he's a few years younger. Oh, and do you ever have trouble with your knees?

I'm a few years younger as well. There is a lady of about 60 in Australia who plays-she posted in the age and ddr thread. Maybe we should start an over 30 ddr thread.
