I'm still rather new to IIDX but let me say that Drill mode on 6th style home version has really really helped with my play even on beginner mode (which I still fail songs regularly). I strongly suggest that noobs start there even before beginner mode.

I've found myself immensely frustrated to the point of screaming obscenities at the screen but in the end when I get that little dot to turn yellow indicating a full combo I feel damn good about it.

Personally I would stick to beginner mode after passing the first few drills. Drill mode is extremely frustrating and has done me more good now that Im beating 7 Stars than it did when i was barely starting. I use drill mode for fine tuning.

IS $500 good for an official Konami controller? I'd give a link, but it's a flash site. japanvideogames.com is the site, though.

I wouldn't say its a good price, but its the running price of an ASC (somewhere between 400-500). If youre new to IIDX then Id just get the regular Konami controller or wait for DA or that new guy to start making custom IIDX decks.

Okay...don't worry about the price...unless you have someone in Japan who can get one for you thats the going price...The price of them will only continue to go up...so get your NOW...

And I had seen that...its $450 plus shipping which is not bad since they have then in stock so you dont have to pay a LARGE shipping price...

I say go for it... E4.gif

How do you unlock everything on 6th style? I read it before and now I can't find it on search.

play yesterday, a new morning, and night of fire in arcade mode (in that order) on any difficulty. doesn't matter if you get extra stage. make sure you earn a high score. put your name in as "2DX6," and let the credits run ALL the way. you should have everything unlocked.

What's the difference between a Perfect clear and a Full Combo clear? I have two AAs that are both full combos with a few Goods, but one says one and the other says the other.

Oh, thanks. I didn't let the credits run before.

Well you just about answered it yourself hehe. Perfect Clear is all Just Great/Great, Full Combo is if you full combo it but you have Goods in there.

No, they BOTH have a few Goods. The music records screen gives me a Perfect Clear for 5.1.1 but the numbers have Goods. Unless these were two different sessions...

If you've ever gotten a Perfect, it will say "perfect" in your records, regardless if your best score had Goods or not.

Everything but sync are some of the hardest songs in all of home IIDX. IIDX goes all the way up to 10th style, BM went all the way up to 9 mixes i think.

Well, there's Era (nostalmix), Era (nostalmix) Another, and Era (step mix). Era (nostal) Another sounds almost exactly like Era (step), so I don't know if that counts as a separate remix.

Sync and Holic are both 7s on 7 Key. Stoic and DXY! are 8s. (scale of 1-8)

Some songs (like DXY!) are the same in DDR as in IIDX, but others (like Stoic) are shorter in DDR.

Where can I find a songlist for 6th style CS? I can find 5th and 7th, but not 6th.
