Why is this the only bemani game (that I can think of) that a good counts as a combo break? I have never understood what would be different about DDR compared to everyother Bemani game... Someone explain? _________________

It's because their isn't just one blanket rating system for all of the BEMANI games. Another example is Greats; they're good in Beatmania but bad in DDR. |

Thats just the way things have always been with Bemani. A "Good" is a sub-standard point which thus breaks the combo. Other games like Beatmania and Beatmania IIDX use the same point system but I don't think a good is combo breaking in IIDX. |

I guess the developers figured that it's easier to avoid getting a Good with feet, rather than using hands and such like other Bemani games.
I mean think about it; back in the day they had PARANOiA as one of the tougher DDR songs. In this range of optimum intensity, it would be pretty silly to still have a Good be able to keep your combo going. |

The first couple of Beatmania mixes didn't even have combo counting. _________________
For a Good time, call 555-1212 and ask for Susan. For a Great time, call 555-3487 and ask for Mindy. For a Perfect time, call 555-6341 and ask for Stephanie. For a Marvelous time, call 555-6341 and ask for Stephanie's mom. |

I think goods shouldn't break your combo, after all it's a 'Good' not boo or miss, if its not bad why should it break you combo? _________________

Ha that might be true but I really think that this is the only game that a good breaks your combo (maybe dance freaks... can't remember). It just seems weird that this is the only one... _________________

Well the developers aren't perfect. I mean, how can you have a "Marvelous" rating that's better than "Perfect"...how the hell do you get better than perfect? That's life in the city. _________________

If you're getting Goods in a song, it means you are not doing it right. When watching someone play, you can often tell the Good is offbeat. If you're not on beat, then you have not successfully comboed the song. This was probably decided in original playtesting that making Goods part of combo made it way too easy to FC. So I suppose you just have to deal with it. |

5 key beatmania does have good combo breaks.Atleast the ones I played,Hip hop mania,Beatmania the final,and beatmania 6th mix. _________________
