I love ddr so much. but i also hate it at times, like when i have 2 explain to my friends what it is. And when i have 2 waste my time trying to explain to them when they play it they arent gonna get good in one try and it takes alot of pratice! does any1 go through this or is it just me?

o yeah i remember when that happend to me...but now they ended up to be way better than me 
and most of the friends who play ddr i met in the arcade. |

For me its really bad. I only have 2 good friends that play with me and theres a bunch of other that are trying to be cool always putting us dwn because we play. one of them is always like "how could you find any fun in this?" then he starts simulating stepping up down left right.. he doesnt even listen when we try to explain and says he could beat me at the hardest song on his first time playing. lol

thats really friking annoying especially when youve told ur friends like 20 times what ddr is and they still dont remember what it is + they think u just hit arrows whenever. its really freeking annoying. |

just2cute: If you communicate in person with the same proficiency you do online, perhaps they just don't understand what you're talking about. However, if this is not the case, just tell them that if they're not going to listen to you the first time, you won't be explaining it again. Say something along the lines of, "I've already told you everything you're asking me about. Just watch, and see if you can't derive any patterns from what's happening." i.e.: The arrows getting to the top and you stepping on them. I really don't understand how people don't understand what you're supposed to do. It's pretty straight forward. I mostly have this problem with old people in the arcades. Of course, I also have the problem of them getting really close to me and asking while I'm still playing a song. The alternative method for getting people to stop asking stupid questions, and my personal favorite, is to just hit them. I'm not kidding, just smack them in the back of the head and stare at them like they just called your mom something you wouldn't want them to say about a pile of garbage, let alone someone you care about. They'll try to figure it out on their own after that.

I only have two friends in Montreal that play DDR. its annoying when youre an addict and you have no friends in school who also play.
I know how you feel, when you have to explain to them each time, and it just kills the feeling of the game. I havent really gone through that because my friends have seen or heard of ddr, so they have a general idea of how it works, I just have to explain it to them more in detail. |

ive done that, but not for ddr.. thats pretty funny though. I should start doing that  . thnx man, best advice ive heard all day  |
