Real Name: Doug
Location: North Pole, Alaska

Started playing DDR on March 14, 2004
So about 2 months at the time I post this.

I mostly play at home, but recently I've been working on playing at my local theater on their DDR Extreme Machine.
It's tough getting used to it cause it's completely different than playing on my cheap $20 pad.

Oh, and my accomplishments in my first 2 months...

just a few quickies

10:
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (Heavy)
Sakura (Heavy)

9:
Paranoia Survivor Max (Standard)
Paranoia KCET
Sakura (Challenge)
The Legend Of MAX (Standard)
Afronova (Heavy)
My Summer Love (Heavy)

8:
Cow Girl (Heavy)
Ghosts (Heavy)
Max 300 (Standard)
Kind Lady Interlude (Challenge)
AM-3P (Heavy)
Sandstorm (Heavy)
Celebrate Nite (Challenge)
Groove (Heavy)
A (Heavy)
Sakura (Standard)

Well that's all I can think of right now... yeah, I suck, I'm workin on it

Hey there, my real name is Rosie and I'm from Halifax, Nova Scotia.
I've been playing DDR for three or four years but I'm progressing rather slowly...Still, I have yet to meet a girl that can beat me.
I own DDR Max2, Konamix and Dance Dance Revolution and I have four or five pads.
I love the game and meeting new people so LET'S D D R!

I've been posting for months, but this is my official introduction. My name is Jeff. I am from Orlando, and I'm into DDR and furry stuff (like Southeast moderator Tamarik biggrin.gif ).

I've been playing seriously since August, and in September I played on my first machine other than a US 1st Mix. I started out at DisneyQuest (which has the former), but now I go to UCF and they have DDR Extreme. I fell in love immediately! Now I primarily play at Motown Cafe.

As it stands now, I'm starting to work my way into the 8's, but I still have a lot of stamina and speed to build before I can start passing any Catas! I'm more developed in my accuracy: I have many AA's. As it stands, I can AA just about anything 5-feet and lower, as well as several 6's, a few 7's and one 8 (AM-3P Heavy). My best performance thus far is My Summer Love Standard, which I've gotten 2 greats on.

My best achievement thus far is AA'ing Sexy Planet Oni for the first time (26-0-1-1 last Friday, 5-7-04). That one kicks my buttocks, and I was so not expecting to do that well.

Well, see me in the Orlando Thread in the Southeast section!

If anyone is really interested, my first name is Marte. Kinda hard to pronounce unless you're from Norway,so just call me Marilla... I am 16 y old, female, and from Norway. I've been playing DDR active for ... hmmm ... 2 months, and only played at the arcade 4 times. I have done a lot of dancing at a Logic3 metal pad, though.... I try to do as many 7-footers as possible. I have only tried Dancing Stage Euromix 2, as it is the only dancing machine I can play at for the moment.. That's me!

EDIT: added name...

So yeah... I'm Chris, and I'm 19. I'm posting this intro from south FLA, but I spend most of my days at Georgia Tech... I just happen to be on vacation now.

I've officially been playing DDR for about close to a year now. How it began was a trip to a newcomer forum on a Georgia Tech website. Interestingly enough, someone talked about Dance Dance Revolution. To be honest, I thought Dance Dance Revolution was some weird title for some anime. After finding out otherwise, I went on researching DDR (reviews on its latest at least). I swiftly dished the cash for the DDRMAX PS2 game and 2 DPR soft pads (hey, they were better than the Mad Catz happy.gif). And surely enough, I got slowly addicted to them. I had sort of like a DDR setup at my high school graduation party... with a projector and lots of speakers. When I came to Georgia Tech, I became even more addicted to DDR.

At first, I thought DDR would've been an easy to play game. Like I thought, "well, it's only 4 buttons... it's gotta be easy". Sure enough the very first song I failed was "Remember You" on Standard.

The latest accomplishment I was thoroughly happy about was passing Sakura (ONI mind you happy.gif, I'm still working on heavy). I've passed bag... but I guess that doesn't really count? lol.

I think I'm decent at DDR. Out of everyone who I see play DDR regularly at the arcade at my college, I'm the worst one.

I play DDR for fun, most of the time... if there was a crowd, I'd freestyle my way through, and if I was by myself, I'd try once more to somehow pass more of Healing Vision (Angelic Version). I'm slowly starting to become more uh, technical about my play (i.e. busting out the PDA and recording scores on Pocket Excel!!! eek...

Long intro, huh? Well, I'm done now.

Hey, I live in Verona Wi which recently recieved a DDR machine at their new bowling alley ten pin(ok maybe not recently but yeah. . ), and i was there opening night(which was when i first saw DDR) i tryed it once and thought of it as pretty cool but didn't really get into it until about a month or two later when i finally, at the urgence of a kid named Ryan (Squirrels) bought my first game and pad. I've been playing for about 2 or 3 months and so far i've yet to pass a small portion of songs mainly 10 ftrs including:

max 300
maxx unlimited
Sakura (heavy)
Bag ( frust.gif no mods for you people that think this song is a ten ftr with *3 on)
Legend of Max
Max.
Paranoia songs the 10 ftrs and oni courses
and Drop Out

Other wise i've passed just about every other song in Max and Max 2 and Extreme

Hi, I just joined DDR Freak about a week ago. My real name is Naosuke, 15 years old, and live in Ohio (Findlay..). I 've been playing DDR only about 2-3 weeks now. I was introduced to DDR by my friend, who has been playing DDR for almost a year now. I'm not very good obviously, the most I can pass is 5 footers.

I'm Andrew Bub, I've been a freelance writer in the tech/film/game industry for about 7 years (mostly PC gaming) and I've written for USAToday, CNN, Sports Illustrated, and more. I launched a site last year called GamerDad (see sig) and I think DDR is just about the best game for kids around - except maybe for Eye Toy.

I like this site, a lot.

I'm Alan V. I live in LA county, CALI. I just started playing 2 weeks ago from today. I play on my computer with stepmania and I bought a USB converter that converts Playstation and playstation 2 controllers to the computer. I bought a dancepad after that Worth $40 bucks. I got around 500 songs on the comp. I play every single day for 2-4 hours sometimes more on the weekends. I can do standard 5-6 footers. The first few days I really sucked I couldn't even pass beginner.
My interest is Music. LISTENING AND PLAYING(instruments).
You guys can IM me anytime I keep the computer on all day.

Hi. Tinnage here. I started DDR in 2002, when I walked into a computer store and saw it on display......it was love at first site. However, it took a few weeks to convince myself to actually buy it.....since I'm probably old enough to be most of y'alls grandmother.....or at least mother.

I'm not very good at it, and progress is painfully slow.....but I LOVE IT anyway!!

I do read the boards every now and then, but I am so humbled by how GREAT you all are at it, I've been too embarrassed to post. But.....what the heck. Maybe there are some other DDR oldies hiding in the closet!! biggrin.gif (Or maybe there's even a forum for dinosaurs I haven't found yet!!)

Anyway, any guidance or suggestions will be most appreciated.
