I HAD two specific pairs of DDR shoes. Over the last year and a half, they've been worn down beyond repair. I'm in the market for a new pair.

But mine plays DDR too. Our idea of a date is a few hours at the arcade. _________________

For me:
1.Listening to the music and dancing outside the game.
2.Bringing the home version to school so I can play during lunch hour.
3.Every time I close my eyes I see arrows. |

For me it would have to be these reasons:
1)Instead of homework you go to the arcade and spend a 10.
2)All u do iz talk aboot ddr and south park.
3)When you are poor and buy 200 dollar metal redoctane pad even tho you only have the x box game so far _________________

Ok here is a little some thing, today I was out buying stuff to build my metal pad for home, after I bought the materials I happened to notice I was extremly close to the arcade..... So I went and played for about 30 minutes then on the way home I seen the local movie theater so I stopped there too and played more DDR then..... When I got home and started to build my metal pad I decided instead to play more DDR. This is why I didnt get my metal pad even started. _________________

1: Buying new shoes (I'm getting my new ones sometime this week, the pads at my arcade + my shoes = me falling when playing doubles catas)
2: I'm at 50$ a week playing DDR (counting some of the drinks and stuff too though)
3: Given up time with my friends for DDR
4: My stepmania is only around 200, no proper USB makes stepmania kinda hard to play without keyboard
5: When you go to Wonderland (a large amusement park in Ontario) and all you do is spend even more money at the arcade showing off to people in DDR rather than going on rides.
6: You attract crowds of 10+ people, on a frequent basis |

hehehehe...
You want my take on the issue? Check this out:
www.geocities.com/sailorsunomega/temp3.html
It's on my website, and it took me about 5 minutes to come up with those 30-something things... and yes, most of them apply to me.
Sad, isn't it? _________________

Okay, whenever i hear a song with a beat, and i mean ANY song, i immediately start seeing step patterns in my head. Like, i will listen to a song, and be like "that'd be up down left left right down left up" etc. Every song, i just size it up like a challenge. |

1. E-mail the DJ's an mp3 of a Bemani song and add a request.
2. Go to American Idol auditions and sing a DDR song, and hopefully a DJ will hear it.
3. Listen to Bemani Radio.

I say you are addicted when you become a PA freak. You have transcended trying to only be good, but rather great. You freak out over getting a good or too many greats (or even a great). That is to be Addricted. _________________

How about when you have 2nd Mix - EXTREME soundtracks. Or when you pre-order DDR ULTRAMIX and when it doesn't come in the day it comes out, you go to Wal Mart and buy the bundle instead. When you get home with the bundle, you play for 6 hours. Then when the bundle you pre-ordered comes in you go to Wal Mart and return it. Probably also when you have a DDR Freak t-shirt. Oh yeah, and all of the above. _________________

So yeah, I got bored so I came up with a list, for kicks.
"You know you're addicted to DDR when..."
[01] You have an away message just for DDR
[02] You wished your grades were just as good as your DDR scores
[03] The reason your grades aren't as good 'is' because of your DDR scores
[04] The life of your parties is your DDR setup in the living room
[05] Microsoft Excel calculates your DDR records for you (paper/pencil counts too)
[06] Yellow becomes your new favorite color and you'll simply cringe at the sight of green
[07] You understood what the last statement [06] meant
[08] A Cobalt Flux metal pad was the perfect investment, and you found that out the hard way
[09] That hard way was figuring out that your arcade money (for the year) could've bought you 2 CF metal pads
[10] You have anything DDR related that isn't software or hardware
[11] Your idea of "working out" or "going to the gym" is walking to your local arcade with a water bottle and towel
[12] You designate a pair of shoes to exclusively be used for DDR
[13] For kicks, you turn to Beginner's Mode with the Stealth mod on
[14] You've tried to produce sentences using DDR songs (i.e. "I feel a feeling of love")
[15] You've tried producing those sentences by playing them on a regular 3-song DDR Extreme machine
[16] You've tried to produce sexual innuendos on that same DDR machine (i.e. "I feel a insertion so deep")
[17] The only song you can play on the piano is Kakumei
[18] Your parents stop telling you, "Stop playing video games so much, they're unhealthy for you"
[19] You didn't notice the bad grammar in statement [16], but instead noticed that "I feel a insertion so deep"
can't be performed on a regular 3-song DDR Extreme machine
[20] Your college application reeks of DDR Tourney achivements and organizational skills of your high school DDR club... that you started
[21] It just crossed your mind that what I said in statement [19] is wrong. If it hasn't, think harder!
[22] You and a group of friends were bored (without access to DDR) and did this (http://www.collegehumor.com/img/m/manualddr.w492.jpg)
[23] You listen to your radio and wonder, "What if they put this song into DDR?"
[24] Not only do you wonder that fact, but you download the song and try it out
[25] Surprisingly, your newly burnt audio CD can hold more than 20 tracks
[26] You're about to graduate or move to another state, you make it a point to have one last go on the DDR machine that you've probably been acquainted with, at the local arcade or student center
[27] After you graduate or move to another state, you make it a point to utilize DDRFreak.com to find yourself the closest DDR machine
[28] You've put together the home made DDR pad (http://www.angelfire.com/d20/ddrhomepad/)
[29] You tell your friends some songs you like and they're like, "WTF?"
[30] You swear that if you win the lottery, the first thing you'll be getting is a DDR machine
[31] You already have a DDR machine somewhere in your house
[32] People on the floor below you complain daily about the rhythmic poundings coming from the ceiling
[33] You try to visit as many arcades as you can and leave your mark on their ONI or Non-Stop lists
[34] You've been in a DDR tournament and lost
[35] You've been in a DDR tournament and won
[36] "V for Victory" has become "V for Extreme"
[37] You have a DDR simulator on your computer
[38] You're waiting for your PS2/XBOX to PC controller convertor in the mail
[39] In the meantime, you'll pretend you have a pad to practice songs on your DDR simulator
[40] At least a good bit of this 40 listed statements apply to you!!
Sorry if some listings are redundant. Hope you enjoyed them =) |
