I'm looking at the pictures, and I can't figure out whether the NX pads are like the ignitions. I want basically the ignitions, but cheaper. I've also see the DX pads; I suspect these are what I want, not the NX. The NX seem more like the Mad Katz or Konami cheap-o pads. Am I right? |

I have a friend that actually ended up buying one of those cheaper ignitions and now he regrets it. He had his for about a month or two after I had gotten mine and he LOVES the Red Octane one. He says it's better then his had ever been. Then he went out and bought one after trying it for about 5 minutes. If you want I'll figure out if his model is one of the above mentioned. I'm just saying you may end up getting what you paid for. |

NX lacks the insert foam that DX offers.
NX = crap! More crap than what anyone says about ignition pads that break suddenly. The top material easily tears than 3rd party pads and the pad began giving ghost steps because of shifting inserts or internal tearing. It does have a rubber bottom and raised arrows, but the material they used to make this pad was absolutely horrible. I'm sorry to say, but I would take a 3rd party soft pad and chair mod it over getting the NX pad. The DX pad is so much better.
If you are looking for a cheap and pretty good ignition pad, you can goto ebay and get 2 ignition pad for the price of 1 BNS DX or RO Ignition pad. Check out my post about buying ignition pads on ebay here.
Vortzgames x2 v3.0 pads or x1 v3.0 xbox/ps2 pad |

A review of a recently received vortz pad here.
You shouldn't worry about being ripped off, the seller has a pretty good history and the product shipped is in very good condition as posted in the review. I think you'll be very satisfied when you do get it eBay not that risky when you know what to look for. |

Another really good and cheaper Ignition pad can be found at levelsix.com. It's exactly the same as my Red Octane, and was less than 40 bucks. I refer people to them all the time because the pad is amazing, the price is great, they sell the best USB adaptor and the customer service rocks! |

They are good pads, yet you can get x2 vortz pads for that same price! I think levelsix and vortz are very similar. I guess those people who don't have the stomach for ebay, they can refer to a more established retailer like levelsix.

I looked at the LevelSix stuff...almost bought it, but eBay is giving me two pads for $55, inc. shipping.
I'm just paranoid. I've read two good reviews of Vortz in the soft pad thread, but... |
