I was wondering what every one out there thinks of the Uncensored arcade machines, Im not sure if its just me, however at our local arcade it’s a “fun and Golf center” key word here being “FUN” now I see many youngsters (Younger then my self) running around and crowds tend to gather around our DDR machines that also include younger kids. Now the thing is there are 2 notable songs that do this, “Little doggy” which that phrase is repeated through out the entire song; The whistle song as well (It says “Blow my whistle doggy” in the caption under it) I mean not to curse I am simply quoting. I have heard various other words in it please give me your input on this topic. The point is, is it really ok to have these things in a place like this?

They probably pay more attention to the players and the arrows rather than the actual lyrics of the song?

I've seen people who listen to the radio and don't realize a song is about sex.

Yeah Im more of a person who is %110 rock when Im not playing DDR I think Rap sends a very negative message that was one of the things that sparked me to post this here. I mean yes Im sure they do focus on the players however, what about the little kids (6 or 7) who just started to learn to read and hop on the machine and while flipping through songs see "Little doggy" and "Blow my Whistle doggy" I mean it may be just me again but I dont think thats very positive. Maybe not even taking the words out or changing the machine rather then letting by standers be warned? I don’t know again may be its just me.

What mix do you play on. I'm guessing Extreme because Little doggy isn't in that. If a kid was experienced enough on DDR to find both Little doggy and The Whistle Song, then they've probably dealt with it.

I play on both 7th mix and Extreme, As I was just looking at songs I noticed them so yeah I guess you have a point that it would be rather hard for them to find/see it unless you know what you are looking for/playing.

Hey, um, calm down. A little kid hearing the word "Bitch" is not going to scar him for life. Dude, I'd be much, much more worried about the people around the machine's potty mouths.

Okay the thing is that there's some songs like that. I actually haven't heard anyone in my arcade even play The Whistle Song prolly in end because it's console and they can just go home and play it. Actually I haven't heard any of the songs being mentioned here except for the whistle song. They even made a disney mix if you want all appropriate songs.

Yeah, because "My mind's made up b!tch" and "I want you all to get naked and grope your area" (Even though that's in Disney Rave) are totally more appropriate than a few cus words that they have most likely heard before.

Your actually wrong on that. Just yesterday I spent an entire day on the vocals of Electric Parade ~Retro Future Mix~ and I have found that the person who started those rumors wasn't listening to the song hard enough. As it's pretty easily heard at the end as what you think is area is in fact Radio. The other song is prolly the same story and if this continues and I have to, I'll find all the lyrics to every disney rave song so you all will end the "OMG Disney's so perverted" rumors. If you want all the lyrics in my findings look in the "chanting or talking in the background of the music?" board not far behind this one currently.

DDR is made in Japan.
Japan's censorship laws are much less strict than the USA's censorship laws.
Look at DDR USA and 1st mix: USA has AM-3P and it doesn't have Little doggy.

AM-3P=A Konami original song, not many words
LittleBiTch= a LICENCE song, it says doggy once, and we have The Whistle song!!

Yes, The US versions of all the games are censored for the most part, in The whistle song it says Blow my whistle baby reather then the more profane usage. If its that easy to change one thing why not do it on the arcade?

If you REALLY want to get technical...DDR Disney Rave has "It's A Small World - DUCKING Hardcore Mix", which is an obvious reference to the F word, just covered up with the fact Donald Duck is the DJ.

And no, there is no escaping the uncensored versions of Little B!tch and The Whistle Song. Actually, if you REALLY want a vulgar song...listen to "Highs Off U ~Scorccio XY Mix~". They say fxck in the song once. And yes, it is confirmed that that IS the lyric. That song is both on the 7th Mix and Extreme machines. Sexy Planet (and the Oni Remix) has sexual moaning in it, as does Insertion and a few other songs. If you had a 3rd Mix, you'd have to deal with "Oh Nick Please Not So Quick" and a bunch of songs by a band called E-Rotic. Dynamite Rave uses the word "Damn" in it once. Burnin' The Floor is a song completely about sex ("Our bodies locked and in time"). Little Boy -Boy Oh Boy Mix- is a song about Captain Jack's "little boy", if you catch the innuendo. Secret Rendezvous can either be construed as a lover cheating on her husband with another man, or as suggested by the backgrounds, a song about two lesbian lovers. After the Game of Love is a song about the feeling after sex.

DDR is FULL of vulgarity and sexual reference. But none of us really care. It's all about the game and the sounds of the music, not the bad words or the badly disguised sexual references. We all find them amusing, but eventually they become ignored. The only people (besides myself, because I happen to like the song) at our arcade that play Little B!tch are the idiots who want to show off to their friends. They think it's hilarious that the word "b!tch" is on the game. This is the year 2004, it's time to move on from immature behavior. It's a word and cannot harm anyone.

In closing...

My advice to you, is suck it up and play. If the parents are really THAT concerned about the lyrics on DDR and whatever, they'll do something about it. If you personally are offended by it, then play DDR at home. But don't go running to the arcade managers crying foul and how the DDR machine is a nasty, sin-filled terror. Because all that will do is cause your fellow DDR players to be upset if the arcade machines were to be removed. That happens to be the best outlet for DDR play.
