What's on your feet while playing DDR?

I usually DDR in my converse. Sometimes my feet cramp and I play barefoot instead, which I don't mind at all if I don't do it for hours and hours. Sometimes I get a blister or two, but they heal quickly. I've never had a problem hitting the screws on an arcade pad or otherwise hurting my feet from playing DDR in any form other then a couple blisters.

these are my size 14 vans that i wear when i do my best ddr games like i AA'ed 300 on heavy in them

oh they look like they don't fit in the pic because a close friend (girl,not gf but very close) says she wonders why my feet are so big. (yes that is a sick joke of hers)

i broke my toe and took my shoe off she took it and put it on and she is like a 7 or a 6 shoe size

I've always just played in my Emerica Heretic's, skate shoes are wide, offer a lot of support, plus, you can argue against their grip.

Well 2 day i tried playin in my addidas pro models and i did pretty good its just my feets start to hurt more often than usual

Personally, I cannot STAND, hah get it?, to have anything on my feet. So I play barefoot. Though when I go to the arcade I have learned to wear shoes that are squishy in the front, i.e. my sketcher sports, size and color matter not, cause I play with the balls of my feet and they will start hurting after a round on that confounded metal pad...um.
I know zero-delocke likes to just wear socks, he's playing on heavy so I guess he doesn't have time to slip around, complains that barefoot makes him stick to the pad..heh.
I guess its all just personal preference, or maybe it does have something to do with what stage your on, so maybe at home you Standard and belows should play barefoot and heavys should do the sock thing. I dunno, just a suggestion! HEARTS TO ALL! *mwah*
