I bought one for $10 brand new, I usually see them for $50... I've been asking and bugging my parents for a beatmania controller since christmas since they didnt get it then. I have the game, just not the controller frown.gif So, I looked on ebay and found that piece of junk and thought that it would do. My mom said, why not wait and we'll get you the good one, and I said that I've been waiting 4 months and i still didnt even get it, so I just got that junky thing. Im aware that it sucks, I just need to play beatmania since the closest machine is 4 hours away...

How long will it last me? Im a beginner if that helps..

I'd rather play with a broken controller and wait 6 months than wait 6 months for that good one

You were better off just saving the money and playing on a sim til you got the good controller. The keys are completely different from the shape and feel of a real controller. You could have just learned how to read on the computer if you wanted to get a head start.

I'd listen to Larrikin.

For like 2 years, my friend had nothing but a keyboard and BMDX/IIDX sims, practiced to hell on those. He learned how to read from playing sims on keyboard, because it's all he had.

Moves to an actual controller, and beats everyone out in our area, can AA flashing 7 [a]'s, and now is VERY happy with an ASC, goes to the arcade, I think he's almost AAed Max 300, has a good chunk of it memorized already.

Not saying it'll happen to you, but the wait is worth it.

Wow. That's just like me. No IIDX machine in my area (that is worth going to, at least. I'm not paying $2.50 on a 8th style.) As for your controller dilemma, why couldn't have just DLed SM-Beatmania/IIDX build, Delight Delight Reduplication BM style, or something, and practice reading first before you actually go out and buy a controller. BM is 90% reading. IMO, anyways.

The turntable is absolutely hideous on that thing. It responds late, and often registers multiple times. There's no way anybody could clear Checking You Out on one of those things.

Actually, according to this, it has problems with all adapters. Stealing from Konami will cost you a bit more. Boo hoo.

With the way things are right now, it's perhaps two-thirds of the price of one (counting shipping). Or if you're unlucky, slightly over half.
