I'm currently writing a FAQ discussing Styles of play (Bar Hug Vs. No Bar, Toe Vs Flat foot, etc.) The topic seems pretty legitimate, though I doubt I'll be finishing any time soon.

Certain people have told me of intermittant Private Message issues...
Users:
skie could never send a PM to me
Keith (RVGL tech, don't remember his username) couldn't send a PM to LOKI.
I haven't had problems sending or recieving, besides the aforementioned one . _________________

How do we exactly submit it via pm? Could we use Word first or post the FAQs as it is via forum text kinda like what I'm writing right now? Or what if we .pdf it? Would that by any chance help? |
From the first post wrote: | Does it have the correct bbCode links and formatting? |
In other words, just PM us the FAQ with all the BBCode (you don't need to use the "code" code or anything). We then can just take the BBCode and use it directly so we don't have to fiddle around with anything.

Actually, I think that we'll be hosting all images. It would only make sense. We wouldn't want to be taking your bandwidth, and if you hosted it then you could easily switch it to whatever you wanted (you know, in case you got pissed off at us ). _________________

If anyone sent me a PM last week, I just put in the requests today. I was pre-occupied elsewhere. _________________

I'm curious, is there a minimum or maximum length? I'm figuring that my tournament guide will be very long but thorough.
Thanks.

Minimum: Covers the details of the subject your FAQ is on.
Maximum: More than you can write .
There really is no minimum or maximum, we just want thorough, complete, resources of information. _________________

Personally, I would want more information than less. Especially because I'm pretty good at finding most information myself. It would be highly annoying to spend 15 minutes using google to find information and then see a resource of information here have LESS info than I found in that short time.
When I check out FAQs on GameFAQs, for example, even if I don't use all of the info I would still prefer that it be as complete as possible. Better that the information is there than not. So I would say try to achieve that as much as possible if you're going to write one for us. _________________

Spike: I PM'ed you earlier today with my contribution. The only reason I ask if you have gotten it is because the forum has been known to act up when it come to PMs. _________________

Thanks for feedback (and same to VxJasonxV). Usually at my work, less is more and I've had a ton of stories cut and I get pissed.
I'll be sending it by the end of the weekend.

If you repeat yourself over and over, then yes, less is more. If you're giving us new information, I don't mind publishing it. _________________

It's been a couple weeks since I sent in a tournament guide. Just wondering whether anyone has read it.
