My eyelids gets sooo messed up and tired and heavy, making me look like a person that lost his life. My eyelids make me look soo different and feels so different, it sometimes is the cause why I don't play DDR soo much. I'm a hardcore DDR fan, but if I can't fix this problem, I'll possibly play this for like once a week/month. I'm a Korean male, and if there is anyone who has this kind of problem, PLEASE REPLY AND SEE HOW YOU DEAL WITH THE SITUATION/CURE FOR THIS PROBLEM. I would TREMENDOUSLY be sooo greatful and would be a huge part of this community if someone posts back something on how they would fix this problem or how to deal with it. And please don't say "It's just me" because it sooo isn't. Please post a REAL reply and please someone hear me out and tell me. PLEASE!!!!!!!!

Other than that, DDR 4 life (until the age of 40)

maybe you just get too tired afterwards? or your eye muscles are too weak? that's kind of a strange problem blink.gif usually i have no problem answering medical stuff but i've never heard of this happening before.

I'm pretty sure this is just running out of energy. It used to happen to me all the time. I'd run out of juice, get tired, recline on a nearby Arctic Thunder machine, and eventually just sleep there until security told me to get up/out.

I had this problem a few times before...

Do you concentrate on the screen a lot while looking at other objects? I did that a few times and my eyes starting to act funny. Just try concentrating less on the screen....

Thanks for the advice!
I know what you mean about concentrating on the screen too hard, and my eyes do that as well. However...how do I strengthen my eyelids because this kind of problem is happening EVERYWHERE, not just DDR. I have told many people what is happening, and even though they may be an expert on biology/doctor/etc. they never heard that problem before. It seems as though no one does.

Keep those posts running because I really appreciate this. At least I know that I'm not the only one with this problem. I would like any advice on how to treat it right after I play DDR so that I won't look as wierd, such as any muscle-toning exercises for the face/eyelids or something like that. Keep them coming.

Do you play at home? Maybe you're standing too close to the screen. Your best bet would be to go see a doctor.

I remember that happening to me. When my mate got DDR at home for the first time we steyed up all night playing it. The next day whenever we closed our eyes (or even blinked) we would see flashing arrows scrolling up! It was kinda scary to say the least riiight.gif

That's about the only thing that machine is good for.

I dont think that has anything to do with heavy eyelids. But that does happen to me too. I see flashing arrows all the time when i blink/close my eyes.
As for the eyelid thing. do you feel tired when your eyes feel heavy? maybe you should take a snooze after you play ddr and see if that helps. Or, if thats not the case, i'm not sure..... i'd see a doc.

i know the problem. my cousin does the same thing. you need to squint your eyes more instead of keeping them wide open. since you cant really blink you should squint and it keeps your eyes from drying out and your eyelids from sagging

That'll help with the whole "can't see the screen" thing and make your eyes not be as dried out.

Hmmm, doesn't sound to serious but if I were you I would go see a doctor, or see if I needed glasses. Because in school my eyes would really hurt, and kind of what you described heavy. So I got glasses!

Simple solution: Masking tape + eyelids + forehead. Problem solved.

The symptom you are describing is related to de-hydration.

Drink more water.
