Oh, yeah, it was pretty expensive... DDR was 200 yen a play... yeesh, I spent so much money that semester. I wish I had found the used manga shop that I got "What's Michael" from before I ran out of frivolous spending money.

I got all my DDR experience through the arcade alone. I've never owned the game at home coz I've never owned a playstation so..... Just through experience and watching others play I've learnt to freestyle, play double and get to level 7-8. So it is possible. I dread to think how much money I have actually spent in the arcade though E19.gif

I've been playing for a while.

The only game system I own is a Super Nintendo

I can pass almost every song without the bar

All arcade baby!

I play mostly in the arcade. I have some home versions, but my pads are kinda broken so I don't even play 3h a month on those E15.gif

I really wonder if there's a good player without Stepmania E13.gif Everyone here has it except me.

Dido!!!

I've been playing for 2 and half years and I only play at the arcades. You people would be shocked at the amount of money I've spent, but well worth it I say. Plus, I don't use the bar either. E4.gif

Aside from playing Stepmania (from which I figured the conecpt of DDR, and got some pretty basic reading skills), and reading a lot about "DDR Culture's Do's and Don'ts", this player is pure arcade-made! happy.gif

i'm sure you are.

do i sense sarcasm? no to be completely honest i dont think i am its just i have won the last 5-6 tourneys i entered which (one being about monthly)And i was first in alot of ways, beating hard songs and such.
so people say "oh hey i think you might be hawaiis best!" i just brush it off because i dont think that that is true. so NO i wasn't saying I AM TEH BEST IN TEH HAWAII AND I WILL PWN U!!! i was just saying what other hawaii ddr players have been saying.

I had been playing Step Mania (dont own PS2 or XBOX) for about 2 weeks and getting decent on Standard when I first went to the arcade and did horrible.

But then I got used to it.

And I usually go to the arcade once a week and still play StepMania usually every day. Starting now to move into heavy. My favorite song's got to be Kind Lady Interlude.
