radio shack adapter problem....

and stepmania 3.9 alpha 17a

i loaded the drivers and its recognized in game but i have to step on ALL the buttons at least 5-6 times before it registers even once! do i just need a new adaptor or will this one work?? any special stepmania settings?? i did change the config for the buttons but i still have to step 5-6 times for 1 arrow so i cant pass any songs

I had this adaptor and it'll crash when doing jumps like up+left. Return it while the return policy is still valid. Ordering one online is the way to go. I know it's a pain vs. just going to the store, but they work so much better. I reccomend the EMS USB 2 adaptor from www.levelsix.com, it works perfectly and it supports two mats.
