On the topic of that obscure group, (E-Rotic) I find it interesting that their songs were only featured in one or two mixes and have not been heard of since. It's probably because the players kept on falling off the pad from terminal distraction, and in case you don't know, that's a serious liability for arcades.

E-Rotic's been in more than just "one or two" mixes, though.

Anyway, I've always liked Captain Jack Grandale, because the song itself is decent, but is also one of those "hard as hell on Doubles" 3rd Mix songs. Seriously, that, Gradiusic Cyber, and augh, Gentle Stress.

i have only been playing ddr for a little over a year, and not consistently... so i'm not that great or anything (i can ace *some* 8-9 footers on standard ...on a good day).

i have only played in about 3 arcades, a few times(and i'm not as good at the arcade as i am at home)....... i primarily play at home.... . i have ddrmax, ddrmax2, ddrkonamix, and disneyddr (disneyddr sucks).

so anyway, i think that about 95% of the ddr songs that i've heard suck (as in music i would actually listen to... but i do have favorites that i like to play but wouldn't want to hear outside of gameplay, and for those i've got those song lyrics memorized in my head from playing so much). but i wouldn't want to listen to any of those songs when i'm not playing.

...but captain jack is really cool and i would actually listen to his music....

when i opened this thread i thought it was going to be praising captain jack and talking about how great his music is compared to the other songs...

the ones i was referring to are songs like paranoia, paranoia evolution, paranoia max, max300, healing vision, max unlimited, orion 78.... etc... and like i said, i only do well on those on a *very* good day.

i wish they would hurry up and come out with another mix soon.... with lots of captain jack!

First off, yes 9th mix will come out. DDR's too popular to just stop.

Secondly, I'm pretty sure "that one guy" in Captain Jack does all the important stuff, like actually making the music, and then writes some lyrics for other people to sing. He's going beyond what most DDR artists do and takes part in the vocals for his songs, so leave the man alone.
