Okay, my first real post, and it's for a good reason.

I have no idea if I did it right or not, but I somehow connected to the #ddrfreak channel on irc.eggheads.org

I said hello.. and got nothing. No text, no stfu newb, no anything asides from

I really want to be a part of the ddr community because there are only a few friends of mine that love the series. Maybe it's just that it's early in the morning here. I don't know..

There are few things in computer that i am scared to do but the scariest thing to try and get acustomed to is IRC! It looks at such a fun place but everytime i try to join in they shoot back a brigade of brutally computer programming crap that scares the living cthuluhu outta me.

I fear IRC.

IRC looks cool, but it is weird. It's not exactly a chatroom, but it basically is. Meh, just make a chatroom on MSN or some other stupid place.

heh. irc is fine. how long did you hang around? most of us have other things we're doing at the same time, so we won't respond instantly. sometimes we won't respond for an hour either =\

Were there any other messages? Such as "disconnected?" The messages that you got showed that you got in to the channel just fine.

So either people were idling and you didn't stay around long enough, or you got disconnected and didn't know it.

I'm also moving this to Site Feedback because that is where it belongs.

To quote the common channel term:

"We are not #talkallthetime."

Don't expect to come in and have everyone all over you. People often leave IRC on but don't talk because they aren't near their computers. Weekends are typically dead times.
