Hey guys, i'm new to the ddrfreak forum but yeah.

The funniest thing happened the other day on a thursday at Replay, Chermside BRISBANE Australia.

My Friend Deric and I were awaiting a turn on the machine and it was on these 2 guys last song, i think - they did either Tsugaru or Daikenkai - and suddenly the machine just froze half way through. It just stopped.
And froze for like 20seconds and the music was still playing. Then suddenly the guy chucked a spaz and jumped really hard on the pad and suddenly it just continued with the arrows going. It was hilarious but yeah.

Just thought i'd share that with you guys

Yup. Happens to me too. Always on V on Heavy. It kept freezing so I thought "Hell, I'll just try it on Oni" and now I do that instead of Heavy.

I think it has to do with ventilation and the CD drive.

Well, this is kind of off topic, but I did fall playing doubles tonight. I know it happens sometimes, but dang it, I was close to passing it. Oh well, better luck next time.

Now, on topic,... one of the machines back in the day, would spit out free coins all the time, about 13 free games, until it freezes.

I saw something funnier tonight. I saw someone fail - game over on beginner O_o I didn't know it was possible to fail on beginner. They got 70 boos and 2 greats or something like that on the first song and on the 2nd they failed laugh.gif

You can fail on beginner if it's your 2nd song, but it'll wait until the end of the song, on the 3rd, it'll start doing the "Danger" thing, and you can fail any time during the song. That's how our arcade is anyway.

Yesterday I was these two little girls playing, and they actually got a score of 10 and 90. blink.gif I didn't know a 2-digit score was possible.

I've had freezeouts like that happen. Once was right before the first arrow of Memories when I was trying Neo Naoki Standard (music kept going for 30s, I was looking around for an arcade attendant and then all of a sudden it resumed. *shwp shwp shwp CLANG*)

The Milton Keynes extreme is really bad in this respect. If you do Era or Naoki Standard the machine completely freezes out at the "Final Stage" or "Challenge Mode" screen. The engineer is never around (else it would be unlocked by now...) so we just power cycled it.

Same thing happened to me at my arcade, but after it froze, i just kinda stood there and waited. Soon, the game started going again, but the arrows started going up the screen at like 600 BPM. I started flailing everywhere trying to hit the arrows, and somehow manage to survive, until all of a sudden it slows back down to it's normal speed. Since that day I have never played Sakura heavy on our Extreme.
