diabloslayer469 - I'm guessing that it will take a while for supply to catch up to demand, or for demand to dwindle back to supply, so it's not like controllers will magically appear after 7th style, unfortunately. Give it a month or two after release.

EndOfTomo - yes, that's the ASC. It's arcade size and quality, hence the ASC (Arcade Style Controller) and the price ($500+ once it gets to the states is the statistic I remember; that may not be accurate though.)

Go to Michaels (the craft shop) and get some cabinet shelving liner. It looks like a thatchwork sort of plastic and it's really "sticky" to the touch. I put that between my lap and the controller and it never moves. E1.gif

Amen. I wouldn't even think of playing without that. Forget playing on your lap as well. You need to stand at a table for full controll.

I put a bench in front of the couch... I can play 7th Style for hours on end so standing the whole time wouldn't be fun. biggrin.gif I happen to have two CF pads attached to a sheet of plywood there too, so I can tilt it towards me a little.

well, it's either my lap, or my red octance ignition pad box, which completly moves around, so i would stick w/ my lap, until i can find something else for it though

thanks for the suggestion E1.gif

How do you play in your lap??? I have to use some kind of table. Those pads on the IIDX controller are there for a reason.

i sit in a rolling chair (the ones that are have no legs and hardly leave the ground) and i would just put the controller in my lap since my legs pretty much just leveled w/ my body, so my arms rested on my legs and what-not, but now, i just use a box and so it's still easy on my arms and what-not, but it still slides around somewhat, especially when i do mutipule scratches

Is this the one you're talking about?
Beatmania IIDX Arcade Style Controller
Also, what's the difference between that one and this one?
Beatmania IIDX Controller
Same with the Pop'n controllers....
Pop'n Arcade Style Controller
Pop'n Controller

If I'm going to pay $400-$500 for a controller, it better be 10x better than the one I could buy for $70! Are the controllers priced at $60-$70 crap?

The Popn ASC is the actual size of the arcade, the regular popn controller is about as big as two and 1/2 Popn ASC buttons.

The IIDX ASC is the same as the arcade. No sticky keys, microswitch keys that click and the turntable is the right size and in the right position.
