I've noticed that a little alcohol can be a good thing for DDR. Never ever play while stumbling drunk, and dont play too long or you'll dehydrate, but I've noticed there's a certain point right before you get a good buzz going where you suddenly start playing without actually reading the arrows. Your consciousness kinda turns off and you go into autopilot. I get my best scores on Friday night, after a coupla Killians.

Water. On occasion, and depending on the arcade I go to, I've been known to drink Nestea Ice Tea, Coffee, Lemonade, and a s[hit load of sprite.
